Remember when Felix was gonna be better than Ronaldo, and Sanches was the greatest player Portugal had ever seen, and Ruben Dias was the next Ricardo Carvalho.

Benfica fans are the ********ing worst. I don't blame em. Country with 11 million glory hunters and weak mentalities, their minds have been poisoned by the pro-SLB dick riding Portuguese media.

Meanwhile it wasn't until Santos moved to a midfield of Adrien Silva, William Carvalho and Joao Mario did Portugal win their first international title. Go figure

That being said, I like Silva and hope he becomes a baller. We need him. But way too soon. Too many amazing defenders that have played for this country to even talk about this right now.

I thought this was a Portugal at the WC 2022 and not a Liga one?
Anyhoo.. I couldn't catch the game due to being at work. I really thought Portugal was going to cruise through a win after taking an early lead, but it didn't happen that way. I know many are disappointed, but this felt more like a logical team management move. Portugal had nothing to win, and the Kims (and brasil) can thank us for a soft win that most likely won't lead them nowhere.

With Leao out there in our games playing like he's practicing, maybe the Jota injury is hurting us more than we thought. I know Jota doesn't have the best history for the national team but he reached top form before he got injured and was starting to show promise for the national team.

Can you all shut up about your Primeria Liga club loyalties and let the rest of us discuss our team? Seriously no one cares.

    Read the effing room!

For real, mate. Some people may have left the village, but the village never left them.

I dunno, possibly, but I feel like this Leao thing needs to be resolved. If he can perform for AC Milan but can't for Portugal then that comes down to bad man management. The issue would probably not be as obvious if Jota was playing.

And if it gets resolved in time, he can be key. Lest we forget that while still playing like a bum, he did get us the winning goal vs. Ghana.

I'm sorry but this is an insane statement. that 2000 squad was insanely talented and lost to France on a bs pk. 4 years later we get into the final playing the best football I've seen Portugal play and you think its because of a 19 year old rolando? your crazy. someone earlier talk about a.silva possibly being the greatest cb next to pepe? you guys forgot about ricardo carvalho? andrade? our team was stacked with talent rui costa didn't even start. we dominated every team we played.

playing 90min vs playing 10min is the issue, talented players need to get in rhythm and get a foothold in the game, throwing someone on for 10 minutes and expecting magic is impossible

True but he started this last game and looked uninterested . Walking all over the place . I don’t know who walks slower , him or Ronaldo . What is the under over for Ronaldo to kill counter attacks because he is offside due to walking back ? Look guys, this is the fvcking World Cup. If you can’t get motivated for this, then you should not be hear

I understand but with three guys there you think they could of fouled without getting a yellow. Any that goal from start to finish was defensively terrible.

Jota is a big loss nobody is really talking about. Would've been nice to have another forward in the squad who can break the lines. Leao has been awful.

Brah if santos listened to potatoe brain sportinguistas these players would have 700 caps by now: Carrico, bruma, veloso, paulo oliveira, Tiago ilori, gelson

The amount of steaming piles of shit that Sportinguistas claim is the next big thing is endless.

Yea thats exactly what we are missing Jota. He was spectacular at euro 2021

If he called up his best players regardless of club affiliation we'd have qualified for the WC without needing a playoff and would've advanced further in WC 2018 rather than getting bitch slapped by Cavani. Instead, Santos out there giving his wet dream club the gawk gawk 3000 so instead we got a bunch beta cuck weakling bitches like FAILix and Otavio.

Otavio is portos best player and they just passed the champions league group stage and are dominating in the league. If he played for sporting you would suck him off and claim the coach doesn't start him because he's not from benfica.

Def had a much better season than the relegation cucks (Neves nunes)

Felix has the best first touch in world football. World class vision. Is press resistant (often winning fouls by shielding the ball) and has great passing. Who should be called up instead?
