Wonder how many people John Doyle taught to do this? In typical fashion, we do something stupid, then get scored on.
Clear and obvious red card - leapt at the player, both feet, straight-legged, excessive force. Not sure what the announcer was crying about. This is precisely why we had the "Doyle rule" - no more than two touches. The man couldn't dribble with a broken cup...
Remember when we used to have a pretty good bench of guys who could start? Oh you don't? Me either. Can you name everyone in this photo? I can. I'll give a freebie Frank Avila Kitman. And that backwards hat kid I used to think was super hot.
At the very front is Bruce Morgan, the former trainer and one of the most OCD guys ever! Frank still works on the field crew.

We went to a USSoccer event in Oct-2022 where the panelists included Alexi, Brian McBride, and Kasey Keller. So it would appear that Alexi still has plenty of friends within USSoccer, since they are willing to bring him in for a gig like that, almost like being an ambassador.
