This result would have helped Brazil enter the round of 16 match very soberly regardless of who had been the opponent. Tite won't allow arrogance - this considering Brazil defeated the Republic of Korea 5-1 6 months ago.

That's hilarious. There were times when Dani Alves looked clearly on a different wavelength, maybe a split-second away from doing something stupid or missing a ball. It's clear he's not in rhythm, but he managed to avoid any of those instances getting away form him.

If Tite had played some of the starters and god forbid got injured like Telles did; we would have his head. It’s a lose-lose.

Cameroon's best attacking plays in the first half came all down his side, including Ederson coming out for the cross in the box. Not sure if that is being factored in at all.

The asian teams do well in their own turf . Japan or Korea reached the SF i think in 2002. Korea beat Italy also .
    And now ___

The Republic of Korea's semifinal run in 2002 was wild, but also controversial.

Spain had at least one legal goal wrongly disallowed, and after Spain lost to Korea 3-5 in the PK shootout, some members of the Spanish team wanted to assault the referee. I don't blame them - the calls were extremely bad and helped Korea. Had VAR existed then, Spain would have gone on to face Germany in the semifinal.

This world cup is being played in Asia and is an extra motivation for them.

Even this WC is also marred with controversy. Germany going out thanks to wrong VAR decision

TBH now Brazil's biggest threats are Argentina & France.
Any one team going out in the KOs will be a massive boost for us
I don't think any other team can trouble us if we play our A team and perform as per our full potential

I don't think they would underestimate their opponents again, but you may never know with the hot-headed and wildly emotional latinos :D

Very wishful thinking there. I think Argentina will make quick work of Australia.

On paper yes.... But they managed to score against France... They bottled then tough .... But one goal could be enough if the defence hold. And they looked better in the second and third game. They've also beat Denmark.... Which was a very good side. I mean.... Adrenaline is a hell of a drug and can let underdogs do things you wouldn't believe ^^

Usually I love watching highlights even if we miss a million chances, but today... those missed chances are just so off, so flat, compared to some of the chances we produced in the first two matches for example.

Based on news before the match there's a good chance Danilo will be back and a chance Alex Sandro will be back on Monday, but Alex Telles' situation is very concerning. He'll have an MRI done tomorrow. Gabrile Jesus will also have an exam done tomorrow. I didn't realize it earlier but he left with pain in his right knee.

yeah that has to be taken into account. Id still have made the effort to secure the “easy” bracket, even with less days to rest

This isn't good. Every game we have a couple of new injuries. We came into the tournament looking 100% for a change and now players are dropping like flies. Our FB situation is actually critical at this point.

Yep that's a disgrace.... Look at all players which play for the big leagues and had many games this season.... Especially nations france brazil etc. The bigger nations have sadly a bigger Loss of players because of the playing time. That's a just a dumb time for a world cup in middle of the season to...... Everyone is exhausted.

Not the best performance for me to make my Doha debut! Lusail is very nice. Pain to get to but visually stunning.

I think maybe doing 7 or 8 reserve guys made sense. But whole B team not so sure. And it ended up being quite risky with the Swiss winning their game 2-0.

With that said, we still lost 2 reserves. Jesus and Telles. Hope it's not serious. But Jesus has been a bum and is still scoreless in World Cups.

Today I'm gonna do a double header. Gonna be crazy! Let's go USA and Australia! IMG_1678.jpg

Both of Tite's loss in WCs came without having Casemiro on the field.

Lusail is a great stadium. The boulevard is nice too. I was there for Brazil's first match. To get to the stadium, take the metro (station beside the stadium) and not the fan bus (long walk).

This loss put a real damper on Brasil in this WC, regardless all starters.
But Monday we will all forget about it and a vida que segue.
Off to see Los Hermanos !
