its Rudiger who said, LOL. The one position that one shouldn't be nice is CB just a soft as frick generation.
same reason they fired Low, can't find someone else, LOL The DFB want to continue with Hansi Flick, mainly due to the lack of better alternatives available. Flick himself wants to stay and is fired up for Euro 2024 in Germany. He told his players at the team dinner after last night's game: "We will come back stronger" [@BILD] pic.twitter.com/lQzoS6mjF9— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 2, 2022 Jürgen Klopp is unavailable for the job. Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, can imagine taking over - but a problem is Hans-Joachim Watzke, who will be more involved in the national team from now on. The pair have a strained relationship from their time together at BVB [@BILD]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 2, 2022
The solution is pretty simple. Just make sure Tuchel and Watzke don't have any sort of interaction between them.
Watzke will be great at the DFB, he can publicly play down expectations and talk up every opponent. By the time he’s finished no one will expect anything from the NT so Bierhoff & Flick won’t be under any pressure to get results. Just qualifying for tournaments and making money will be viewed as acceptable.
What needs to happen until the Euros in 2024?• built the offensive around Musiala as No.10• integrated Wirtz, Moukoko & Bella-Kotchap into the extended team (first 15)• midfield is not only about quality but also balance• lineups more based on player profiles— BayernTalente (@CampusVid2) December 2, 2022 • find a real defensive midfielder as the profile is needed for the squad• don't wait until the tournament to finally test out something crucial as how a real No.9 is doing in the team• more defensive stability is needed badly because one issues can unsettle the entire team— BayernTalente (@CampusVid2) December 2, 2022 • DFB need to finally start promoting the best talents, means those with clear national team potential earlier• Adapt rules in terms of promoting talents. E.g.: change the 5 subs rule, so that the last two subs have to be players under 23.• restructure U19 & U17 Bundesliga— BayernTalente (@CampusVid2) December 2, 2022 I don't always agree with him but some good points
I will never forget how he and the rest of the Dortmund board celebrated the 2018-19 season as a success after throwing away a 9 point lead at the halfway point of the 1.BL. I really wanted to punch him in the face.
@Ger90 who can we start to integrate with for DM position? I'm thinking about long term not someone like Weigl who already past 25 years while Aseko Nkili is too young,
that's tough question but problem is that Flick is too fixated on only 3 Ms that its hard to judge what he likes or doesn't like. Also we might be thinking about long term but don't think Flick is. we do know that players like Weigl, Khedira, Janelt are players he's shown interest. Someone like Dorsh needs to stay fit anf play but likely needs better club than Augsburg. Geiger is another option from 90s born. after that you hit 00-onwards but I don't see anyone jumping to Senior until post U21, So they will focus on 90s born for March-June. it really is based on timing. A 02 DM Breithaupt of 2BL Karlsruher is linked with like half of 1BL clubs.
Yes, even before Oman match I was super pissed off Flick only called 3 CM while having hundred AM and winger. It's like he as a head coach doesn't thinking about contingency plan especially since Goretzka and Gundogan injury record ffs. I think Khedira, Weigl are not long term prospect. Janelt might be one. Dorsch yes too injury prone. I don't know about Geiger I watched him several times and he never struck me as very good midfielder, I think he is only decent. In terms of talent Stiller is much better than him me think. What about Tom Krauss?
Wont happen but thinking it would be nice try to build a solid 3-4-2-1. With Wirtz and Musiala. Think Schlotterbeck can develoap further and gain confidence till 2024. (Think he has Hummels potential). Hope for Katchop not to have deep dips ( as normal for Young players). Think Baku and Knauff should not be written of as WB in such an formation. Sané has immense potential to and could get more stability. Have a little bit of a questionmark if Moukoko really is the solution for a sole CF in future. Quite convinced he will have a great future with and his nose for goals speaks for that he could be our man though. Hope for euros to be a 2006 moment over again but think for optimism to grow we need change ( even symbolical changes could have impact) and freshness and it will take courage. Now the debate will get hot again about lack of WC talents in Germany as a partly explanation model from Media, DFB etz for that we could not beat Mexico, South Korea, Japan which is not very constructive. Think it would be better to focus on what we got and how to we get the best out of it and how do we manage to get the best out of out most talented players. Players play worse for Germany these days which was totally the opposite before these past failures.
Hahha he is probably kicking himself as why he cannot sell players also to make money. Next he will start comparing our team with other countries and say that we cannot compete because they have more money, better players etc. With Watzke maybe we should bring Kinsmann, Kovac and people like that to make the stuff department even better
If we break everything down then clearly there is a major soft underbelly once you scratch the surface and that needs immediate attention. Even before the tournament started it was evident to me that there is a hugh mentality issues within the group. The past German teams were mentality monsters and nothing phased them. If flick will integrate new blood in to the team then strong Characteristics should be one of the Major strengths in the players.
Ballack as a coach would be awesome. And I agree with you,Klose is the definition of a nice player but a true competitor.
Germany were down to 10 men after Ramelow was sent off in that match v Cameroon (the scorelines was still 0-0) WC 2002 . Germany won that match 2-0. They just refused to go down and out.
The DFB are discussing awarding Hans-Joachim Watzke a major role and more influence regarding the national team. Meanwhile, Oliver Bierhoff, although he won't resign, could see his influence reduced and would focus more on his secondary role as director of the DFB academy [@BILD] pic.twitter.com/HgMt6KOreW— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 3, 2022 This crisis scenario was already discussed within the DFB after the defeat against Japan. It is said that Hansi Flick cannot be held responsible for the gradual decline of the German national team, as he's been in the job for just over one year, unlike Bierhoff [@BILD]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 3, 2022 Sacking Hansi Flick is not up for debate internally at the DFB. The coach continues to enjoy the trust of the officials and is highly regarded by the majority of the players [@kerry_hau, @berger_pj] pic.twitter.com/gt3ZUubD5W— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 3, 2022 Nevertheless, DFB president Bernd Neuendorf expects Flick to work through what went wrong at the World Cup as quickly as possible and present possible solutions with a view to Euro 2024 during an internal meeting next week [@kerry_hau, @berger_pj]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 3, 2022
Khedira and Weigl are same age as Kimmich-Goretzka, so don't think they are viewed as old. Also all NT call up player X or Y who only play 1-2 tourneys max. Geiger has been destroyed by injury for years. This has to be his 1st season in ages without issues. So its too early to say anything. Stiller-Krauss aren't options until post U21.
Just like 2018, this time Flick will come up with an unconvincing power point and stay on…having Watzke is going to be icing on the cake Don’t know why people like Ballack, Matheus are not stepping up who used to have pride playing for the national team
Flick is staying on its confirmed. Low had to do power point as they evaluated if to keep him or not. And irony winning CC17 is what kept him after WC18. but doesn't mean DFB wants them that's thing to remember. Does dfb want vocal ex players? Not convinced they would Ballack is a youth/young player agent and Matthaus is a pundit.
Seriously if Tuchel wants the job we would be crazy not to give him a shot. He excels in cup competitions due to his more pragmatic approach, which is ideal for a NT where all you play is tournament football. We would be boring to watch but who gives a shit if you actually win? Also what is Watzke actually gonna bring to the table? Why is he needed?
I mean guys like Hanke, Asamoah, Neuville etc were never elite but were always there. I think just like how 1BL has coach carousel, our NT has a CF carousel for way way way too long. We haven't had fixed CFs since Gomez aka 2016 same period where we started to downtrend. I would think it would be Nmecha+Berisha if we are looking at 90s born. Maybe Ducksch depending on how he continues to rise too. I mean Fullkrug+Ducksch works wonders at club level too. Werner won't be left out either. Schade, Burkardt, Adeyemi would also push themselves as options. Ngankam, Dinkci, Malone, etc assuming no poaching its more wait and see, especially Ngankam with neverending injury issues although he's fit again now. Our CF Pool is 100% gonna increase in future too -93=Fullkrug -94=Ducksch, -96=Werner -98=Nmecha, Berisha, Tigges, Dietz yes the list is bigger than this but very unlikely rest will matter. Although I have doubt about Dietz and even Tigges. Still great to see 4 from same age group make 1BL which is pretty rare. Its actually 5 if you count poached by Bosnia Demirovic. Future Options for Pool Addition are who are all currently in 2BL -94=Glatzel -95=Kleindienst -96=Platte -97=Tietz, Teuchert, Reese -98=Serra, J.Eggestein, Ache, -99=Pieringer Pieringer and Ache on are on loan from 1BL. No way Pieringer won't be in 1BL in future. Ache doing well for a bottom club that has started to rise towards end. He's actually pretty important in Furth's game play and he's like Asamoah 2.0. Reese gets linked a lot to 1BL-Serie A, he has all tools but meh finishing although this is his best season so far as a pro. Serra started to click in 1BL prior to relegation, would be unlikely he stays in 2BL long term. J.Eggestein, Teuchert are doing well enough this season. Rest I very doubt they stay in 2BL, will end up with more 1BL chances. I really would like to see Platte amid his years and years of injuries finally make 1BL RETURN.
I'm not convinced with Tuchel. He can become a complete hot head. Last thing we need is players refusing to play for the manager!
Agree. Matthaus needs to get involved. He brings everything to the table. Outstanding quality with great Mentality.
Possible Euro 2024 line up but i have my reservations with CM, and the 9, for me Fullkrug. https://www.goal.com/en/lists/how-w...ld-cup/bltb2bcc01489b9f501#csc1e7d39e1346782c
