It's all just a bit of football banter, but we risk becoming more like Wales celebrating as if they'd won the Euros when Iceland knocked us out if we're not careful.
Poking some fun and having a laugh is fine, but just don't go overboard.

I don’t think he will drop Rashford. (Through he will drop for him is hard to predict.) Not fully sure he will start Phillios either.

I think the difference as I said though is that people dish it out to us when we fail because we are a bigger nation. Whereas the Scots, Welsh and Irish don’t cop anything like the same level of stick they give out when they fail.

I could maybe see Saka as an impact sub, perhaps Rashford. Both competing for same position.

Phillips is a fitness judgement call. I think if they assess he is at 90% he'll start.

Rashford needs to start, attacking the Senegal right side is a must to nullify their actual very dangerous threat in Sabaly and Sarr that create a huge share of their danger through this side. They can be successfully direct also, this is not a Australia or Poland that can be walked over which is why Foden and Rashford are good picks to create. the Senegal midfield and left back will do very little progression, it's all about this right side

Southgate will probably play a midfield 4 against the mighty Senegal ( well they will be physical)

    Bellingham/ Phillips/Henderson/Rice

    :)

You say that but I bet if you look down directly above the ball, there'd be a slither of the ball that was cutting across the outside of the line. That means that ALL of the ball wasn't over ALL of the line, as the rules say.

Fair enough. Just a bit bored of the Southgate bashing stuff (not just targeted at you fyi as other do it too) as we all know what kind of manager he is and his limitations.

Everyone is entitled to post what they want, but I personally prefer looking forward to next match etc

This is the sort of crap we have to deal with! The assumption that Lineker thinks we will just win against Senegal is just ridiculous imo. We have to play our best team in order to win the game and that includes Walker with his recovery pace. These sort of things irritate me to be honest.

It’s a exact 6 day gap anyway between Senegal and any possible France match. Longer than any gap in this World Cup.

Tbh what he said was there's no point in risking him against a team like Senegal when they don't have any players with the pace of mbappe he said we have two world class rightbacks that can easily hold their own against Senegal. Walker will be needed more against France if we go through than against Senegal. Why risk him. Anyway I have no doubt we will beat Senegal

Walker is one of our best players and should start every game from now on. In this system he is far superior to Trippier who was barely overlapping for Saka in the previous games.

All white on Sunday. Shame the red may not get an outing. Wouldn't think it'd get used against France or Spain/Portugal if we got that far

Trippier has been a real disappointment, was expecting more given his form coming in.

If all the teams from the group stage were put on one big table we would be top due to our goal difference.

John Stones on the telly admitted that sow of the players are a bit apprehensive about having to take penalties and they have started intense practicing ..

If only we had taken Toney !!

Do you really think a player charged with 200+ betting offences could have remained in the world cup squad.?

Toney probably would have missed anyway. So many excellent penalty takers have missed over the years in shootouts.

He’s innocent until proved guilty ..

Anyways Benzema would have been playing even though he was a recently convicted of blackmailing a teammate ( about a sex video or something) .

    He apparently bought his freedom…

He would had have been communicating with his legal team while in the World Cup camp. Hardly feasible.

Even senior players hate penalties. Henderson was in the top five for England against Columbia but after he missed but wasn’t in the top 6 for Liverpool in the Fa Cup final.

Toney scored two goals against Man. City. after being omitted. Those charges could have waited to after the World Cup.

    He should have been there.
