The Texas Tech Red Raiders football team has now beaten Oklahoma and Texas in the same season for the very first time.
Nothing sports related, just had to mention that you haven't lived until you've had a Brisket Texas Twinkie. That's one on top of the pile (taken straight from the Rejino BBQ website).
And the National Lacrosse League season is underway with the Philadelphia Wings at Halifax Thunderbirds on ESPN News.
And now the kid has been dismissed from the U of F football team on possession of child pornography charges!
Possession and distribution. Apparently he was sharing images on his discord server and just on his phone.
6-2 Halifax at the end of the first, which included a bit of a fight about 3 minutes in, and Halifax scores again :17 into the second quarter to jump out to a big 7-2 lead.
Didn't expect to see a Frauen-Bundesliga match between Wolfsburg and Frankfurt on CBSSN this morning.

Not sure if I've ever seen a double nutmeg like this goal from Lindsey Horan in the Champions League Less than 15 minutes gone and @OLfeminin have the lead 👏🇬🇧 🎙 https://t.co/Ti0HZCvrhy 🇫🇷 🎙 https://t.co/MDaI3gGt5u 🇨🇭 🎙 https://t.co/TibazPytpf pic.twitter.com/DLf3egjSqh— DAZN Football (@DAZNFootball) December 7, 2022
Every single thing about the career of Baker Mayfield, both college and pro, feels like it was written by an AI that wasn't fully programmed.
FCS Playoff weekend on ESPN with 3 of the 4 quarterfinals on a network. Samford, with their backup QB making his first ever start, at North Dakota St now on ESPN2. William & Mary at Montana St at 10:15 on ESPN2. Incarnate Word at Sacramento St at 10:30 on ESPN+. Holy Cross at South Dakota St at noon tomorrow on ESPN.
I got caught up watching other stuff Friday night and only saw a few moments of Samford at NDSU. Looks like W & M took a tremendous beating in Bozeman, while UIW and Sac State played basketball on a football field! Incarnate Word plays at North Dakota State in one semifinal next week. Montana State will be at South Dakota State if the Jackrabbits win today. Bobcats will host if Holy Cross is the opponent.
Manuel Neuer broke his leg skiing. Out for the rest of the year for Bayern. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/s...manuel-neuer-breaks-leg-skiing-out-for-season
Stayed up way too late watching that UIW at Sacramento St game. The Hornets had 738 yards of offense, 49 first downs, and were successful on 2 onside kicks and still lost. UIW's final 4 touchdown drives were a combined 16 plays and took 3:57. Just a bonkers game that would have been at home in Arena Football. Currently watching #8 Holy Cross winning 14-6 at #1 South Dakota St in the last quarterfinal of the weekend.
