I don't know where to begin because I'm so happy and proud of our team for fighting tooth and nail till the very end.

I'll start off with us breaking all kinds of records, then move onto post match comments.

    - This is our 3rd Round of 16 appearance (2002, 2010, 2022). And, we did it in style.

    - Once again we have beaten Portugal at the WC since 2002 and we have not lost to them since then.

    - We went toe to toe in all three of our matches, especially against strong teams from South America, Europe, and Africa respectively. We are also perhaps the only AFC team where we had high ball possession/percentage in all three of our group matches out of the entire AFC teams.

    - Bento becomes the second foreign manager after Hiddink to lead our team into the knockout stages.

    - This is King Young-gwon's second consecutive WC goal and that also being at the final game as well (He should be getting scouted by now).

    - The Shin Tae-yong magic continues. Albeit he wasn't there in person, you can't deny that the Kazan magic doesn't live on, from Kazan miracle to now Doha miracle.

Now, onto the post match comments.

    - This is perhaps the best outcome for Bento possible. Beating Portugal was one thing but given that both Korea and Portugal moves on to the next round is everything what he could've possibly hoped for. Putting the 2014 Fifa WC behind you and now resting easy, while not having to damage reputation to your country is like killing two birds with one stone.

    - Son can truly cry to his heart's content without having to receive any criticisms for being a bit of a crybaby. A match where he truly earned it, his run that lead to assisting Hwang Hee-chan's winning goal was an absolute beaut. He literally drew in 7 Portuguese players like a mother fucking magnet and he did it while taking his mask off as well lol.

    - The fact that we even managed to play well and win in spectacular fashion without our monster Kim Min-jae was surprising to see. Normally it would've been a disaster for our two left footed CBs in Kim Young-gwon and Kwon Kyung-won, but they held the backline pretty well.

    - Lee Kang-in once again showing why he needs to start and why we need to be building our team off of him, Son, and Kim Min-jae, he literally bosses it on the field he's like our very own team engine that kickstarts into turbo. Also, he and Cho Gue-sung's link up has been surprisingly working out well.

    - I'd be lying if I said there wasn't any sort of cons or disappointments i.e. Hwang Ui-jo, but for the sake of our team and country, I'm holding back my tongue.

    - I have no idea why Kim Young-gwon hasn't had any interest from clubs in Europe, but by now he should've peaked interest especially scoring his second consecutive WC goal.

    - Hwang Hee-chan is an absolute bull. I was worried he might've not be getting any minutes at the WC due to his injury, but it's absolutely refreshing to see how much of a game changer he was at second half and making it even sweeter by scoring the winning goal.

    - Last week our 12th player was the goal post vs Uruguay, but today it was Cristiano Ronaldo lol. All jokes aside though, I stated before the WC that we didn't need to worry about Ronaldo, and today he proved to be ineffective and less threatening, Diego Dalot was the most threatening player the entire night.

    - Hiddink must be proud of our team by now, a reminiscent of the 2002 WC that can hardly be erased from our memory. And, Kim Pan-gon as well with knowing the person he chose as our manager was able to get the job done thus far. Lastly, the late Yoo Sang-chul who's watching from above also has to be undeniably proud of our team right now.

    - Last but not least, regardless of the outcome vs Brazil, bring it the fuck on. 대한민국!

Forgot to mention. KJC told HHC to do his best to shine even if he plays only for 5m. And he did.. This is why good 선배s are important.

    good stuff Seol

    glad ur back

    im pretty floored how well
we've played throughout the group stage and shocked by the team spirit gutting each game out and from behind no less That was one thing that bugged me over the years How when opposition scored goals on us we'd deflate This time was really different

    Coach Bento,

I apologize for calling you Bento Box.
I regret telling everyone we wasted 4 years with you at the helm.
The players clearly believed you. You got the most out of them.
Thank you for these 4 years.
    Let's do 4 more years.
