Either he's lying and on a sort of strike, or he's just an incredible pu$$y who can't play through any minor ailment.
I still believe we'll never see Keita in a Liverpool jersey again. The sooner he's off the payroll the better.
good news re Matip, Jota and Keita (quiet at the back, please) ... Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Joel Matip is back in training for Liverpool, though suggested the defender is unlikely to feature against Southampton on Saturday. Meanwhile, Klopp confirmed that James Milner is available again after suffering with a concussion, and offered positive updates on both Naby Keita and Luis Diaz. "Nobody is out from the players who were available in midweek or for the last (Premier League) game," he said. "Milly is back in training today. Naby is out and running and Lucho is back on the pitch and running."
not good ... Liverpool reporter James Pearce has claimed that Jota is likely to return to action “in late January or February.”
What is his specific injury?? If we take Late Jan to be Jan 20. That's 4 or 5 games. if Diaz, Darwin, Bobby, MO and carcalho are all there, then don;t rush him....
Encouraging news on Diaz Liverpool: ‘Good news’ emerges as £49m Anfield star eyes injury return (givemesport.com)
here we go again .... Liverpool winger Luis Díaz is flying back to the UK from the club’s Dubai training camp after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/luis-diaz-liverpool-winger-suffers-injury-setback-02tc7qs2g
NEW: Luis Díaz will undergo surgery tomorrow to recover from the lateral collateral ligament injury in the knee. Liverpool expect him out until March. [@PSierraR] pic.twitter.com/m2h2fAi1Kb— DaveOCKOP (@DaveOCKOP) December 9, 2022
nope. it's incompetence / negligence at absurdly poor levels. I don't see any other PL team whose players get injured as often, or break down again after treatment so quickly - and not just once, but over and over again. we announced a new team doctor just a few days ago. I don't know if he's even on board yet, but hopefully he'll be able to step in and improve things. I tell you what -- if I was another club's negotiator in a battle with LFC over a player's signature, you can be damn sure I'd be pointing him and his agent to our injury stats. "do you really want to go there and risk your career?"
It seems like such an obvious thing to get right; you have so much invested in your players and you basically have Dr. Nick running your training staff
