Does anyone feel like the US doesn't deserve to be in the R16?

    Let's be humble and honest, the US is the weakest team to advance from the group and this team looked like ass all 3 matches being completely feckless in front of goal and probably getting the fewest shots on target. I feel bad for the eliminated teams that looked better, created more chances, and scored more goals. I'm curious about what y'all think about a mediocre and insipid US team making the KO round. This is just my thoughts, so please don't take it personally as I'll let you have yours here. Thanks.

    Jeez. I’m critical of this team but I’m not about to indulge in full self-flagellation either. No way are we the weakest team to advance. In fact, I’d say we’re a consistent goal scorer away from actually being a dark horse to win the whole damn thing.

    That said, I still think we are the underdog tomorrow.

    This team, relative to its opposition, reminds me of the Gold Cup squad... It never had a dominating game, and almost every win was eked out of blood, sweat, tears, and a favored roll of the dice...... but, somehow, match after match, it moved on and on to improbable Victory.... Hey, maybe my "dos a cero" riff is passe'... maybe we win the whole shebang with a series of cliffhanger 1-0's right to the last bittersweet, but oh so sweet, drop.... :cautious::coffee:;)
