The Wave kept using a picture of Gordy Gurson all offseason even though he announced immediately after the season that he wasn't coming back.
So I just remembered that the page travels with the player, so it wasn't copied, but it means Utica hasn't updated it yet...and that the Wave never did update it last year.
The team has a right to use him image on anything for as long as they want. Besides the team has not updated its website in over a year now
so the playoff format has been announced. 10 teams, 5 per division. 4 and 5 in a 1 game playoff with winner playing the 1 seed. H and h series with mini game from quarters on. i like the format, puts emphasis on finishing in the top 3.

Well Maybe she should get her goal keeper under control. I honestly don't remember when a Goalkeeper recieved 4 blue cards in just to games DISCIPLINE REVIEW COMMITTEE ACTION: Discipline Review Committee Action #1: The MASL Discipline Review Committee reviewed the tackle committed by KC Comets goalkeeper Nicolau Neto on St Louis Ambush player Marcel Berry during the overtime period of the St Louis Ambush v Kansas City Comets game on Friday, November 25, 2022. Review of this tackle by the MASL DRC revealed that Nicolau Neto committed a very reckless and dangerous challenge on Marcel Berry which could have resulted in serious injury. After extensive review and deliberation, the DRC unanimously agreed that this violent tackle shall result in a one (1) game suspension for Nicolau Neto. The suspension shall be served in the next game on December 10th. Discipline Review Committee Action #2: The MASL Discipline Review Committee reviewed the incident during the second quarter of the Kansas City Comets v St Louis Ambush game on Saturday, November 26, 2022 where KC Comets goalkeeper Nicolau Neto left his goal area to challenge for a ball being pursued by Kevin Ellis of the St Louis Ambush. The referee closest to the play initially deemed that contact was made between Ellis and Neto, resulting in Neto falling to the floor, holding his face. A blue card was issued to Kevin Ellis. A challenge flag was thrown by the Ambush and the play was reviewed by the game officials. The result of the video review showed that no contact was made to the upper body, face or head area of Neto by Kevin Ellis. The Blue Card was withdrawn. After discussing this situation, the MASL DRC has deemed that Nicolau Neto simulated a serious foul above the shoulders which initially resulted in a Blue Card being given to Kevin Ellis. As a result of this over exaggerated simulation, Nicolau Neto has been issued a penalty point and an undisclosed for his first violation.
I wonder if Neto's incidents have anything to do with the just announced rule changes? https://www.maslsoccer.com/news/rule-change
I have to say, the standard of broadcasts have definitely gone up under the new leadership. Even on the big screen, games look very professional on the Twitch app that I downloaded on my LG Smart TV. Milwaukee, KC, St. Louis and San Diego were always pretty well done, but teams like Baltimore, Harrisburg, and Florida are noticeably better. Even the MASL2 broadcasts on YouTube are watchable. The Raptors' home game broadcasts are night and day better than the old Rampage ones from the MASL.
Going to be in the Pacific Northwest this weekend and ser the Stars have a couple games. $26 plus fees for the cheapest seats seems a bit expensive, anyone happen to know how to get discounted prices in Tacoma?
The only things that maybe might get you cheaper tickets would be to call the Stars direct or walk up.
just looking at he standings right now, I'd say most of the the playoff field in both conferences is pretty set at this point. sure theres a few games left to play for everyone, but the gap between 5th and 6th in the West is 5 points-essentially 2 games- between Monterrey and Tacoma. the gap between 4 and 5 in the East is 9 points- 3 full games between Baltimore in 4th and Utica and st Louis. who both have 13 points.
Right now, Utica. They have more regulation wins (3) than St. Louis (2). For anyone who is interested, here are the tiebreakers. POINTS > REGULATION WINS > WINS > HEAD TO GROUP > GOAL DIFFERENTIAL > GOALS FOR > GOALS AGAINST
Utica also has 1 more game left to play than St Louis. the way the schedule is going you gotta feel for whoever finishes 4th in the east (Florida , and Kansas City are tied at 23 and the Blast have 22) , you're going to finish double digit points ahead of the 5th seed and all that could go out the window if you have a bad game. if it were up to me, I'd have a tiebreaker game at the end of the season if teams are tied on points for a playoff spot. i hated that MLB dropped game 163 when they expanded the wildcard round. keep the tiebreaker if needed.
