Unfortunate.. If he was uninjured and fully fit, we would have not lost to Ghana.

Yes, they should rest their A team and not risk injuries against Korea, if they want to win the whole thing.

No way for POR to win the whole thing. They are not that good.

I hope they get knocked out quick. Only Portuguese players I like are Bernardo Silva and William Carvalho

Kim MJ probably will start. I am not sure whether it is a good idea though.

His face was not too bright while riding the bike. Didn't look like he was in any pain either.
He lightly smiled but he always does and has bigger smiles usually.
He even stayed on for some kind of pep talk by Bento.

HHC on the other hand looked almost fully fit. But Bento said both his and KMJ's status would be determined on the match day. I will be surprised if HHC does not play though.

Bento is a mean guy so if KMJ says he can play Bento will start him. Someone asked what is the plan to replace KMJ and Bento said "none". "Match day decision" and all that are just BS to hide the mean nature of his personality.

This is probably the last match of this WC for KMJ. I would want to play even if I were he. The worst case scenario is that his injury gets worse and he is out for a month. Napoli will miss him for just 2 weeks or less. But KMJ appears to think that the 3rd goal by Ghana was his fault. He even asked Ku JC for his honest opinion. A very small possibility exists that he declines to play for the good of the team.

I hope people don't have a false hope of upset after watching all these upsets in other groups. Upsets usually happen when both sides have intense needs to win. At least a moderate incentive to win. Portugal have a 3 goal margin over Ghana on GD. Even if they lose and Ghana win by 1 goal they are still No 1.

They will close down on Korea from the start. It will be very difficult to score on them. The only factor against it may be pride or to revenge 2002 or the FIFA ranking. These guys are too young to even remember 2002;their dads and Bento do. And after all the upsets in other groups they will choose safety over pride or FIFA ranking.

Son probably will not be very effective against the defensive minded Portugal. The only hope is that Lee Kang In keep crossing to Jho Kyuseong, But I suppose that they already figured out Jho from the Ghana match. Lee is a bit more difficult to figure out. He has been there for a long time. He was famous even in his youth. He does not have many peculiarities. His speed is slow, not particularly slow.

Let's just hope that Ronaldo the buffoon will go crazy for personal glory and get red-carded early.

Hwang hee chan is such a donkey! Always a disappointment. Why he injured like he has any mileage on those legs when he is a bench warmer?

Hwang up jo feck this guy! Missed a sitter for us but it's bento fault for picking a guy who can't get a game for olympiacos?

Son heung min i love when he cried after the Ghana game like he already knows korea has been knocked out of the world cup. One of the biggest chokers in the sport!

I forgot that Kim Tae-young had also worn a protective mask 20 years ago during our WC...

It's also when we beat Portugal 1-0.

    Coincidence? I think not.

He got his nose broken in the R16 match against Italy, courtesy of Vieri's elbow.

I still agree that it's no coincidence!

I mean that mask is much bulkier than Son's lol.

Anyway I expect Son to score tomorrow. It would be a huge disappointment if this doesn't become the third World Cup he scores in.

Someone point me to a site containing Korean terms for concepts in football, like crossing, formations etc. I do plan on keeping my promise and posting some parts of my entries in Korean, if we can take the 3 points.
