Saudi win will qualify them regardless of the other match OR
Draw and POL win against ARG

Mexico win will qualify them if Poland win against Argentina OR
win by 4 goal margin and POL vs ARG end in a draw OR
win by 3 goal margin and ARG beat POL by 1 goal

In other words, it looks rather grim for El Tri.

    Mexico-Saudi Arabia 2-0
    Argentina-Poland 3-0

^If Mexico are getting out of the group, this is probably the most realistic way they'll do it.

Not surprised, the only place in the world you get tennis hooligans is at the Australian Open where Croatian and Serbian fans fight. It'll be ten times worse in football.

    That's just horrible.

Mocking him for being a war refugee fleeing ethnic cleansing.

Balkans need to stop all this hateful rhetoric.

Mexico hasn't deserved to qualify for the R16.

It’s Messi’s fault for missing the penalty.

I would gladly take the 4pt +1 GD Ecuador in R16 instead of either Poland 4pt 0GD or Mexico 4pt -1GD

Absolutely no surprise that Martino is out as Mexico manager.

Mexico certainly plays a much brighter and more exciting brand of soccer than Poland, even if it struggled to score in the first two matches. Its inability to beat a Poland team that is both dull and poor sealed its fate, unfortunately. The second half of this match was exciting--end to end action and Mexico was all over SA. I was sure they'd score a 3rd goal--and came close about 3 times. I'm certainly happy Saudi Arabia is out. Corrupt country.

I like Poland the country--its strong support for Ukraine is inspirational and admirable--but the soccer team is not very good. They work hard defensively but are dire in attack.

Good prediction. Would Mexico have advanced if they held on to the 2-0 result over Saudi Arabia (And Argentina won 2-0)?? I thought Mexico had to make up a 5 goal difference, but on ABC they are saying that the Saudi goal near the end was the difference in Mexico going home instead of advancing.

But then again, mainstream US media knows nothing about soccer so who knows?
