Saudi Arabia isn't Andorra. ....................Mexico is playing well against a good team here. Teams that have failed to beat Saudi Arabia in 2022: Argentina, United States, Australia, Iceland, Ecuador, Honduras, Panama, etc. etc. They'll get this goal!!! I don't know if it'll be enough to get them thru, though.
When you dominate the first half the way Argentina did and it's still 0-0, it's a sign the Soccer Gods don't want you to win, in fact they want you dead.
That Vega chance right at the beginning is the one they needed to put away. That was the one. Score that one and the game opens up. Then it could really be 3- or 4-0 Even so: Saudi Arabia must score here too. This second half should be fun!
Just winning this game 1-0 isn't enough for them. They need to either score alot of goals or they need Argentina to score alot of goals. Generally yes, but that hasn't really helped Saudi Arabia in past World Cups. This is by far the best they've done since the 1994 World Cup.
I think they'll get some help from Argentina. If Argentina scores again, Poland and Mexico will have exactly the same group stage results.
