Ronaldo won’t return to Sporting. I hate to say it but there’s a higher chance he returns to Benfica since he can play cl, get paid better, etc. sporting is having a shit season and likely won’t be in cl next year.

So he hates the Man U coach , now go to Benfica for nearly exact same kind of coach ? I don’t see it

    My top 4 possibilities.

Chelsea - Owner seems to really want him. However, with Champions League football being a question mark for them next season, Ronaldo make want to look elsewhere. Let's not forget that Chelsea is a rebuilding club. You don't want to make the Manchester United mistake again.

Real Madrid - Benzema has injury issues. They may have a goal issue on the horizon. Bringing back Ronaldo makes sense especially since they have a manager that labels Ronaldo his favorite player he has ever coached.

PSG - Something tells me their owner can't stop thinking about how he can have both Ronaldo & Messi on his team. He has a chance to get Ronaldo on a free.

Saudi Arabia - I can't see him going to MLS over Saudi Arabia. If he is going to join an inferior league, he might as well take more money and go to Saudi Arabia especially at this stage of his career.

To be honest, Ronaldo pretty much lives the life-style of a Muslim. He doesn't drink, no tattoo's and he is a very sheltered private individual. He regularly goes to the middle east for vacation. He is friends with that prince (Forgot his name)

305 million is alot of money. At this stage of his career, it makes sense and i don't think his girlfriend would mind a few years there for that kind of money for their family.

I here you but she can not live her lifestyle there the same way she does now . My point is not him, it’s her . It’s a western women adjusting to that lifestyle . I can’t overstate that . It’s a huge culture shock . If Ronaldo goes stateside , he will make stupid money and even more endorsements etc . I don’t think his next move will be about money, it’s about his legacy compared to Messi’s legacy .

Only chance CR7 comes to Sporting is if he wants to end his career where he started for little to no money, but more than likely if he ever wants to invest in the club, he has enough money to buy Sporting if he wanted.

That's absurd if true. That's almost a billion dollars if he plays it out.

I understand if he takes the offer in all honesty i would do the same thing but at the same time it's kind of CR7 going out on a whimper. If he takes the offer, we will see the last of him in this world cup and his name will disappear from football due to him playing in an inferior league. I doubt a 40 year old CR7 playing in Saudi Arabia will be called up for the euros.

Let's face it. It doesn't look like any big 5 league club wants him. He's either too well paid and wouldn't lower his salary substantially, or his current abysmal form and off the field issues (publicly criticizing his managers) doesn't sit well and is a huge turn off.

Same reason he won't go to Sporting nor did I think he ever would: theres no way we could afford him. It's more likely he would return to Sporting after retirement to purchase a stake in the club than to play.

All that's left are the peripheral leagues. I would have loved MLS, I'd actually go to a game here if he visited with a club.

I'd be very disappointed in seeing him at AL Nassr but I can't fault him, that's a ton of money. And he probably is thinking about expanding his brand there anyways. Kinda like Iniesta joining the J League, it was also to promote his own business post career.

It's not that much for him, he's got a ton of side hustles. He can make that 300 mill in ways that would not trash his legacy like moving to the desert would

With this move, I think he pretty much acknowledges that he is finished.

Nobody wants to see him called up anymore after the world cup.

$200 Mil a year and the oppurtunity to play with the legends Talisca and Aboubakar? Easy choice.

Shameful comments in here. He is 38 it's normal to move to a club like that at his age.

is Xavis legacy ruined because he signed for Al saad?

If true, that is a lot of money. I wouldn't fault him at all for one last huge pay day at the end of his career. But, I do have a hard time seeing him there unless he has other business there.

i know what the mufc stats say about games with and without him on the field. now that portugal are steamrolling without him, it'd be interesting to see if portugal stats are in line with mufc stats...
