I would like to se Kleindienst, Glatzel and J.Eggestein all return to 1BL.

Kleindienst always found him interesting. Glatzel needs to stop playing 2BL. And J.Eggestein as an ex Golden Boy should at min be playing 1BL.

Michel scores a PK for 10 men Union 1-4 down.

now at 3 goals in 1BL+1 Cup+1 EL this season

his 1-0 W goal in EL GS6 is only reason why Union made knockout stages.

Stindl promise: Back to the roots?
Lars Stindl's star has seemed to be descending several times. The offensive man is currently more important than ever at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Nevertheless, the foals have to expect a farewell in the summer. The reason is apparently a promise.

Lars Stindl had a difficult start to the season. He missed the first four games and came off the bench in the fifth. However, the polyvalent attacking player has been a seed since the sixth match day and leads Borussia Mönchengladbach onto the field as captain. The 34-year-old from Kurpfalz certainly still has one or two Bundesliga seasons in his tank, but he could say goodbye in the summer.

As the 'Sport Bild' reports, Stindl could go back to the roots. The reason is a promise he made to his wife Tanita when he last extended his contract two years ago. At the time, the couple had agreed to move back to their homeland in Baden with their two children at the end of the contract.

    Stindl back to Karlsruhe
Karlsruher SC is already rubbing their hands there. Stindl was trained in the Fan City. In 2010 he left the wildlife park in the direction of Hannover 96, five years later he went to Gladbach. KSC manager Oliver Kreuzer is just waiting for a sign from the veteran. The second division would roll out the red carpet for the eleven-time international. Meanwhile, Stindl rules out a change within the Bundesliga.

But the foals still hope that the captain will stay on board. Initial talks have already been held. Salary and term were not yet an issue, but would not be obstacles. The final decision should be made at the turn of the year, then the final discussions with sports director Roland Virkus will take place. As a precaution, he advances: "He is now at an age when you have to ask about life planning."

end of era for the 88 CFs
-Kruse, contract terminated could end up in MLS as his son lives in USA
-Stindl, could go back to 2BL to his home
    -Petersen has 2023 contract
-Terodde, Schalke are strong relegation candidates

they are 34 y/o and turn 35 y/o next year so careers are closing end.

Stindl would be an insane signing for Karlsruher, still a very good 1BL forward would be too good for 2BL.

I hope he extends with Gladbach instead would like him to stay at least another season. In 2024 can go to 2BL if he wants for like 1-2 years.

but yeah Stindl in 2BL could be pretty interesting get for Karlsruher.

and interesting when one remembers that Kruse, Stindl, Petersen all made Senior NT. With Stindl being most successful one. Even scoring in a tourney final too!!!

    Triple 1BL CF Update
-on Waldschmidt if him bailing opens door for Pejcinovic, I'll take it

-Uth had operation and is out until March. He's someone Koln missing a lot as he adds creativity to a dull attack

    -on Undav

I totally agree. Their era is over.
Forwards that i consider now are:

    - Niclas Füllkrug: he is the perfect stereotype of CF but he is already 29 y.o.
    - Timo Werner: everybody already knows him very well , he is 26 y.o.
    - Luca Waldschmidt: he needs to find more play time, he is also 26 y.o.
    - Jonathan Burkardt: he can give fresh force up front, he is still 22 y.o.

I think other than Fullkrug & Werner, the other main CF options for the NT right now are Moukoko, Adeyemi & Nmecha who all have recent caps, plus Berisha & Schade who Flick is reported to be closely monitoring.

Burkardt could also push himself into contention if he can get back to full form & fitness in the ruckrunde. Waldschmidt probably needs to leave Wolfsburg but tbh he hasn’t really produced for a long time, he was pretty meh at Benfica.

I think Ngankam could also become part of the extended pool but might get poached, lol.

he's in same boat as Burkardt, 100% 1BL material but injury proness.

I really like how Tigges is progressing, shows with CF's that it isn't neccesarily about breaking through BL at 19 or 20, he could well be a candidate for a call up in March. The CF pool is definitely growing.

breakingthrough 19-20 for CFs is rare and is 100% about being at right club and willing to integrate you. Majority aren't really into that and more likely to dump you on loan at some point.

Majority of our CFs don't seem to make real progress until like 23-25 region too.

its because trend is still mostly where you have to play 2BL before 1BL.

but its interesting to see Bochum buy Broschinski from Dortmund II in 3rd Liga. Seems like they want him to emulate Tigges path to 1BL.

I hope we see more of this 3rd Liga to 1BL for CFs. Other candidates for this in future are guys like Akono, Njinmah, Breunig, Lakenmacher.
