As things stand currently. The games are so far away it’s very difficult to say if it’s a good draw or not. When you play a side so many times just by the law of averages you lose sometime. Let’s hope we arrive at the games with our main guys healthy and in good form and Liverpool don’t figure out their issues by then.

True...not a big fan of playing the same team over and over. That being said, if we're healthy, we are favourites. Also, it will be critical get a healthy Benz for the second half of the season. We're doing OK at the moment but he will definitely be needed in the toughest matches.

2nd leg at home for us will help.

Hopefully it's like RM vs Atlético from 2013-17 where law of averages didn't catch up in CL.

It takes time getting used to playing with Tchouameni instead of Casemiro. Casemiro was an octopus while Tchouameni who is great in his own right doesn't cover space as well as Casemiro. Once the team has gotten the hang of playing with Tchouameni we will start improving defensively. I was dissapointed with the first goal last night. Valverde was tracking the winger when that's Asensio's job, then their player gets a free shot from the top of the box with no Madrid players there with only Modric trying in vein to get there in time who was the LCM. That's the space Casemiro would've covered.

I’m glad this is being addressed, instead of saying who needs Case when we have Tchouameni (after just 10 games)
The latter has potential, but Casemiro was experienced AF to deal with the Dm position.

Well, to start and make things better, stop playing Militao and Alaba together. It’s crap.

Militao and Rudiger as CB’s and Alaba as LB.

    Not hard to see.

It wasn't crap when we were winning La Liga and the CL, what's different, the coverage in front of them was a bit more solid, these things take time, it's the middle of the park where we are suffering most IMO but i'm like a broken record so i'll stop

I don't like Alaba at CB. We need to permanently move him to LB and bench Mendy for good.

Mendy has been an eyesore at LB and Alaba has caused much havoc this year because his positioning and reading of the game from CB.

Casemiro would've left either way, don't really see the alternative.

I don't know, I feel like Carvajal is the weaklink. Seems like he unable to keep up physically and his backup is not really high level.

Perez could manage the Super League, Real Madrid and La Liga and still do a 10x better job than that fraud.

That presents an obvious conflict of interests, although I would trust Perez in that kind of role.

I'm still not buying into the whole losing fans angle, football is probably more popular than its ever been - there's just alot more "entertainment" options to choose from these days so it's no longer the only game in town.

Is anyone concerned that we are now affiliated with Barca and Juve due to the SL [given their nefarious business practices].

Whatever their true motives and reasons are for joining it is easy to argue they are just looking for a bailout because they are on the verge of bankruptcy.

And given how terribly, horribly, NO GOOD, bad those clubs are run admimistratively - who in their right mind would follow their lead if they are saying the SL will be more financially prosperous and secure.
