But once it started other players have followed suit, because otherwise you’re giving up a potential advantage. The problem is that it’s at all tolerated, and refereeing needs to get tighter on it. If somebody acts like they’ve been shot in the face, well they can sit on the sideline a few minutes and not expect to be waved back on immediately. And I fully support the use of VAR to give cards for embellishment.
