The only guys we had on the field that have shown an ability to get on the end of a cross and finish it were off the field when Moore came on. It was a dumb sub.
He absolutely unloaded on Moore after helping to put out a fire partially caused by Moore's positioning. Like you said, he's not just locked-in, he expects everyone else on the field to be on his level. Excellent choice for team captain. I love Tyler Adams, may he reign for a million years.
He was told to play defensively and counter and don't press too hard. Situation presented him poorly.
balvenie 12 for me. Waaaay too much of it. And then a client called and needed to talk from 5-6. That was interesting.
Pulisic won the game with one touch. His runs into the 6 mean that he can impact a game without the ball better than anyone we have.
after these first 3 games - he is the next generation of Jermaine Jones - except he is much younger .... love to see him commanding his teammates, providing in game guidance, and leading by example everywhere. An awesome US team captain.
Moore also headed the ball away when I even saw and heard Turner yelling from 10 feet away to let it go, then held his hand up apologizing for too long. He's so over his head. Players with poor offensive skills doesn't automatically make them good defensive players with the ability to counter.
I don't see much of that. There is one guy who didn't like his play, and he should reawatch the game. Aaronson was exactly what he is. I've seen better games from him, I've seen worse. After Sargent was subbed out there was not a single attacking player on the field who wasn't dead tired or just poor around BA. Jedi having attacking shocker didn't help either.
I was shaking my head so damn hard at that.........Turner was YELLING at him to let that thing go. Agreed hes in over his head
If we're going to compare peak-age Jones to Adams thus far, Jones was a better player in the attack (both passing and shooting). Adams is a better player than Jones was in every other respect. Smarter, better leader, better defender, covers more ground, more ball secure. IMO, if Jones were prime age right now, he'd be fighting McKennie for a spot. Adams would be right where he is (with the armband), and so would Musah.
And this was a weak group?!?!?! What in the good lord's name??? This was by far the TOUGHEST group. Dude seriously go outside for some fresh air and touch some grass. This was never going to be easy. GreGG managed us through it, despite what you all may have thought. He did exactly what we all wanted him to do. He's got to the 2nd stage of the freaking WORLD CUP. This is precisely where we are suppose to be. And besides being slowed down because of some swollen bawls, we're going to have a full strength side to take on what isn't a very dominate Holland team. Tennessee Lost Clemson Lost Holland WILL LOSE. Nobody likes orange. Bring on the #BeamerBall
He isn't, already proven. All three games he had teams on the ropes and pulled his reigns on his thoroughbreds. Wales and Iran could have easily been multiple goal wins and England a 1-0 win was easily within reach. Just disappointing that this team could be so much better.
Appreciate the sportsmanship, especially considering that CCV hand clap on your shooters collar bone at the end. I think you guys got it right and Pulisic's supehuman effort on one play made the difference. Good luck with your next generation.
my point was simple - the US needs a leader (like Jermaine could be particularly during intense matches) .... we have one again. And he is younger. He will be the team leader for a long time.
Because I'd have fallen asleep by halftime, what with the 120 proof and all... I see you found my earlier splain-nation.
