In the old days that is probably onside. But now they are calling just about anything close as offside, looking at fractions of an inch. Pretty ridiculous, but accurate in theory, at least.
Hard thing about knowing who to sub on is the guys doing the most work and thus most likely to need a break are the midfielders and especially if we're not chasing a goal, we simply don't have anything close to equivalent midfield quality on the bench.
Energy has definitely dropped. Still some lovely talented play here and there, but Iran definitely pushing harder. And suddenly Tim Weah doesn't know how to control a ball to cross, suddenly?
McKennie looks gassed. Acosta for him? We’re about to go prevent D again. Haven’t learned our lesson I guess.
Was that the absolute worst exagerated cry-baby simulation you've ever seen? By someone called Hajsafi
ARob tries that push touch way too much into some space. Goes right into the waiting defender. Needs to not get ahead of himself. Be patient. Short touches first. Berhalter deciding to go defensively really early here. Would have preferred to gain/keep foothold w/ Reyna. Our like for like CM options are poor. Just the way it is. Wouldn't have gone with defensive subs until 10 minutes to go.
