Kinsmann calling out anyone for sportmanship is a bit hypocritical. Rich of Klinsmann, of all people, to prattle on about gamesmanship Related, his beautiful display of diving like a swan in World Cup 1990 https://t.co/FOoRd6stYQ pic.twitter.com/n9zy5e9AT9— Henry Hakamäki (@Huck1995) November 26, 2022
Yesterday, Kevin De Bruyne said that Belgium are ‘too old’ to win the World Cup.This is what Jan Vertonghen had to say after Morocco held them scoreless in a 2-0 win today 😳 pic.twitter.com/4CLHh9oql6— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) November 27, 2022
Mancini at the Euro’s and now Enrique here have shown their game management nous and made the right substitutions at the right time. So key to getting over the line in games yet Southgate never seems to grasp it.
Niclas Füllkrug’s rise to scoring at the World Cup really is incredible. Bouncing around the 2nd tier in Germany playing for various clubs until Werder Bremen got promoted last season. 10 goals in 14 Bundesliga games later and here he is equalising against Spain. 🇩🇪— Eye on the Ball (@eyeontheball1_) November 27, 2022
What did everyone make of Spain vs Germany then. I thought it was ok but neither looked like world beaters?
I’ve not seen all the games but has anyone really looked like World beaters? I think most have mixed starts to be honest which is probably to be expected.
Spain most likely lose a quarter final against Brazil. Germany have a decent chance of losing the semi final against France. After beating Marocco and Portugal in the knock outs.
Takes one back to Salvatore Schillaci who had played 7 seasons in the lower divisions before Juve signed him and after one season he stood there as the world cup top scorer. First capped in March same year and came on as sub in the first two group games.
Don't think you necessarily need a top quality striker. A decent one in form who works for your formation is often enough. Problem last night was Spain and Germany didn't start with a centre forward, and they both looked more dangerous once Morata and Fullkrug came on. It might work against second or third tier teams, but you need everyone else completely on their game without one.
Brazil have so many attackers it’s hard to see who might actually beat them despite the fact they haven’t been playing that well.
Uruguay will have to beat Ghana in their final group match to stay in the tournament. I remember the controversial 2010 quarter-final between the two teams. Felt like knock-out quality match rather than just group stage. Roberto Martínez: "We have defended set-pieces the same way for the last six years."What Martínez seems to forget is that Morocco's video analyst, Moussa El Habchi, worked with him three years ago. #BELMAR🇧🇪🇲🇦 https://t.co/luvUu9ZQxd pic.twitter.com/2lvsyDH2mb— Maghrib Foot (@MaghribFoot) November 27, 2022

The Belgian squad sounds like it is totally divided. Eden Hazard apparently had a massive row with Vertonghan and Lukaku had to separate them. Hazard and Trossard also hate each other and Courtois and De Bruyne have never liked each other
KDB doesn’t like anyone apparently .. Remember this in a Belgium training session from a couple of years ago
