Going to Qatar 2022: tickets, accommodations, etc. (non-politics)

Ohh. My bad. Guess I've been watching too much league football where head-to-head decides the tie vs goal difference.

This group certainly has become very interesting. Mercifully my Qatar trip ends on Saturday 3-Dec (M50) as I need to be back at work, so I won't be suffering the queues and captchas of FIFA ticket portal any more.

 

Thanks, do you have info on where this is for Thursdays match? Would love to experience it.

I doubt you should or need to show the VIAGOGO email. What you need to show is the FIFA email that indicates tickets were transferred to you.

 

Or alternatively, just load the app now (its working) and don't sign out of it...
Worst case if it doesn't activate on the day via bluetooth (it should) then as someone mentioned you can 'long press' the greyed out QR code (under the 'ticket is not ready' message and it'll bring up a manual activation screen where I'm sure the staff can activate for you

Guys with the ticketing app cluster f*ck, how is it that the stadiums are most full? How are so many people getting in?? And how many are not getting in? Just curious!

How strict is the "no food" rule enforced on stadiums&Fan fest - this also includes any snack in a pocket or do they only check bags?

Is there a place to put small/medium baggage in Fan Fest (left luggage) if you go there directly from an early game or visiting the city, like it is on the stadiums?

Stadiums aren’t full. I’ve had an empty seat next to me at nearly every match thus far including Arg/SA earlier today. As far as appearing full, a lot of credentialed workers have been going in and trying to sit in empty seats. Great for them as they get to experience the World Cup, but kind of annoying as there is a fairly constant stream of people trying to get into your row.

 

For M5 I long pressed and it activated right away, no code required. Or suddenly the app is working and it was a coincidence.

 

App seems to work now. Except, new tickets that weren't already downloaded at some point before are not transferred ...

 

OK but how are the fans getting in? Is the app working or are people using emailed tickets?

Anybody else having trouble reselling main applicant ticket in the portal? I will not be assisting a game I bought. I sold the guests for face value but I cannot sell my ticket

 

The main applicant cannot be sold back on its own.

 

Is it possible for an international fan to enter on a category 4 ticket? Any one who has tried doing so yet?

 

I didn’t have a CAT4, buuut I was sitting above CAT4 for mexico vs Poland and after halftime moved to CAT4 without any issues. Of course you could tell right away we didn’t belong there because no one was chanting only us. But no issues and stayed there all the second half.
