No... I'd think it's pretty clear now Germany need to build on their recent Euro's system, never going back to weird ideas matching wnt's like Sweden, France, or USA, in battles of athleticism the key to re-establishing long term success.

Trying to directly mirror physically strong wnt's not very intelligent for a program like Germany, where historically it's already been proven them producing the fastest, or physically strongest wnt's, not the route cause of being able to win WC's, Euro's, or Olympic gold.

But if Germany lost it's identity with poor leadership, they appear to be on the right path to regain what they lost; combining a new generation, alongside the wasted potential of an older generation.

Can't speak on your weird bias against Spain lol. But I feel most people incorrectly conflate the foreign player assisted Barca, with the domestically constructed Spain wnt.

But when it comes to Germany... it needs to be said, while the team missing Marozsan a blessing for someone like Magull, her absence still a persistent issue for the team overall when it came to substitution choices allowing an largely indecisive Dallmann to become a 1st choice fixture in the team.

Plus your crazy if you don't believe MVT having Buhl and Popp both missing from the Euro final, a legit negative factor in them not beating an English side having everything in their favor...

If, but's, and maybes.... surely nothings actually been set here when it comes to the USwnt's WC squad.

But the NWSL season isn't based on relegation or promotion though. Guaranteeing each season your always going to see the best teams, and the worst teams, continue to swap places regardless of the quality of player within the club; to me, making your comparison to the German wnt not selecting Wolfsburg players rather pointless.

I would say November still a good time for the US as most of their players have completed the NWSL & been rested for about an month.
The most interesting battle will be between Rose Lavelle‘s CAM vs Oberdorf at DM. They’ll probably run a lot into each other, Lavelle tends to beat her opponents 1v1, but that’s going to be way tougher against Oberdorf, but Lena will have to watch herself that she don’t get into foul trouble(otherwise she could give the game away)

LOL... and it's a horrible time for European based players, having important club matches in league and UWCL competitions...

Yes... that's if Oberdorf even travels with the German squad...:whistling: And it's funny seeing everyone push the narrative Oberdorf a foul machine, when Oberdorf makes more tackles than anyone else in a game, but will often see someone like Latttwein often produces more fouls lol...

But if MVT creating a CM trio to face the USwnt, I'd really like to see it somehow contain Lohmann. This a player who'd honestly thrive in the 1v1 duels the USwnt enjoy creating.

The fact Germany continue to win so many Euro titles at this age group, their record in this tournament continues to be pretty bad lol...

So even if there's legit talent on the team (and there is..:geek:), I doubt anybody expects them to get very far in India...:cautious:

Imagine... Germany 2 time WWC winners, 8 time Euro winners, and Olympic champions, have a group of players not saying a negative word about the obvious poor leadership of their wnt program, allowing a completely novice Steffi Jones to take over the senior team.

Spain, hyped on the recent success of one club, with a history of accomplishing absolutely nothing at senior wnt level, are now protesting their long time coach for reasons of his supposed incompetence, creating a situation affecting their “emotional state” and their health “in an important way”....:rolleyes:

Seriously... I can only imagine what Germany's wnt players truly felt like saying for years now about their own leadership, having recently seen them for the first time ever describing their genuine previous dislike playing for the wnt...:coffee:

Alongside Gwinn, and Oberdorf, who are back to full health, Berger's also back in wnt squad after dealing with more complications with cancer...:speechless: But seeing an injured Freigang, and two new GK's in Johannes, and Grohs, is rather odd to me...

Eventually we'll also hear the player, or coaches, discuss the positional change involved with Nüsken... but I'm still disappointed to see Anyomi part of this squad as a RB again, knowing far better RB's currently available to MVT.

I guess we won't be seeing Hegering very often this year, but should expect her to prepare for the WC like she did the Euro's...? And major questions still gravitate what happens when Marozsan, and Leupolz eventually return...:cautious:

But right now, MVT's major task has to be getting the combinations of her CM trio's balanced correctly, and trying to introduce an improved transitional element to the attack.

it’s Hagel in for Dabritz, though dunno if it’s a swap at mid or if Hagel’s going to get turned into an CB, lol

with Magull missing Bayern’s CL match yesterday due to Covid, you got to wonder if she’s going to be fit in time for next week’s match with France?(with Dabritz & Marozsan out as well, leaning MVT without all 3 of her original midfield starters)

France has its problems too as last season’s top league assist leader, Baltimore(14 assists for PSG) has quit the NT in disgust of their coach. And of course, their still missing previously valued players like LeSommer, Henry, Hamraoui, Lavegoz

who knows; by next week could be back to watching each other’s the B squads playing instead, lol

Magull(Covid) along with Freigang & Dabritz(injuries) are officially out. Only replacements so far are Hagel & Feldcamp

France announced; will be missing usual starting CB M’Bock(injury)

I still hold huge questions about the genuine effectiveness of Däbritz in a #8 role, but how are these three players considered MVT's "original midfield starters"..?

Oberdorf, Magull, Däbritz, had become MVT's 1st choice Euro's CM trio, but this is a major error if anyone thinks only these 3 names remain the best/only options for MVT to select for her WC team.

Freigang should never have been selected, as she was injured during the 1st league match of the season. And the fact MVT has gone back to Feldkamp once AGAIN, is even more pointless when it should be obvious to all that she's never going to be an international level CB...

Players like Rall, Senß, Linder, are all more deserving of opportunities, but...

With Gwinn out MVT could of chosen either Rall or Linder, or how about my girl Minge?(hat trick in 18 minutes in her last game), but taking it that due to just the one game, no need to bring more into the mix for MVT to experiment with(for whatever plans she’s got for France)

MVT didn't need to wait until the week of this match, before actively assessing the fitness of her defenders. This a blatant choice made by the coaches, to not see any need to correct the potential squad imbalances in key areas like FB.

Using Anyomi as a back up winger, and RB, in my opinion a complete nonsense given her poor production quality in both roles; and especially so, when comparing her to both Rall, and Linder in the same roles.

Last season playing for bottom of the table Essen, Senß was still able to produce stats that made her one of the best CM's in the league for progressive ball carries (successful dribbling).

And seeing this ignored, so a continuously mediocre performing Feldkamp can play a role in MVT's plans, is honestly sending out nothing but major disappointing messages to promising players within the league.

lol...plans.... And If you think this is looking bad... wait until you see the squad once various players begin to drop out of the friendly Vs the USwnt...:whistling:

People don't want to hear this... but the scheduling of those friendly matches being so close to important UWCL matches, almost guarantees key Wolfsburg/Bayern players won't be feeling healthy enough to make the trip states side.

A week after the US trip is DFB-Pokal with Nürnberg and Duisburg as opponents for Wolfsburg and Bayern. The Champions League matches in Rome and Barcelona are ten days after the US friendlies.

Somehow Leonie Maier, and Ramona Petzelberger, are still part of MVT's plans...

I this just complete incompetence, or is this simply coaches being too lazy to look at the player pool...?

LOL... they can't even get a full squad together for most friendlies, and I've honestly seen scenario's like this too many times now...

Gwinn's suffered another cruciate ligament tear....:(, so these damn wnt coaches are going to have to finally look at finding more credible FB options.
