It sounds like the players didn't turn up today, we need an actual management team in fast. Speaking of which: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63104635
Exeter manager Matt Taylor said to be coming in to take the reins at Rotherham. Today's press conference to announce the move was cancelled (postponed, actually), however, with 'unresolved legalities' being the explanation. I've read speculation that it might be linked to additional compensation that Exeter might be entitled to as part(s) of Taylor's staff (who are also under contract) look to join him on his move. Still, it sounds as though it will happen, and that it's just a matter of ironing out the details.
Another right shambles in the making, it sounds like their goalkeeping coach (Scott Brown) is also a registered player, he's played one game for them in two seasons but it's worth a try I suppose as we're so desperate and they probably don't want to lose their management team.
I read an interesting rumor that Rovrum had a deal in place with Chrissy the Pig to come in if he got sacked at Boro, but when Warne left with Wilder still in a job, they turned to Matt Taylor. Then Wilder gets sacked, after Taylor's agreed - but before he's signed a contract - and then Rotherham backtrack on Taylor in order to get Wilder in. I'd say it sounds more like a Wednesday fabrication to have a laugh at Rotherham (as I read it on a Wednesday board), but it's supposedly from an Exeter fan who has a mate at The Yorkshire Evening Post. All unlikely, I'd think ... but time will tell, I suppose.
Both clubs have put statements out in the last few hours just saying that he's been offered the job but talks are still ongoing. I haven't heard the Wilder thing but a few of our fans seem keen on him. I think his assistant is Alan Knill is it not? he used to be manager for us at one bit when I was going, think he got promoted from youth team coach around the time we were going bankrupt.
It's right annoying how teams score 20-25yrd top corner screamers against us, we'd be 4 points better off with wins against Swansea and Millwall if they didn't score absolute blinders. Taylor needs to get coaching our strikers they look about as threatening as an old woman with a handbag.
It sounds like we were decent against Blackburn but gave away a cheap penalty and were then at the disadvantage of chasing the game rather than them, on top of that they were a lot more ruthless in front of goal. Huddersfield at home next, we should be looking to win that if want to avoid a relegation fight.
I wasn't aware that @pookspur was headed over. And I just realized I had a dream last Wednesday, or so, about running into him and @Myshoe at a Millers match. In the dream saw Pooker clearly. I never really got a look at whomever MyShoe was though...
I'm torn between whether to employ Gestalt therapy or a more Jungian approach to dream analysis in interpreting the deeper, underlying meanings of this post. Either way, it's not good.
I'm tall and handsome, trust me bros. We gotta make Ivan's dream a reality some time, we're destined to attend a Millers match together.
I'm also a government approved scientist so I can't possibly be wrong because anyone who says otherwise gets censored for misinformation.
A other good result. I'm actually not scheduled to work Saturday, and the Hull game is on espn+. I may end up watching that. Can't get enough of that Georgie Kelly.
