Well...if they hadn't accidentally sunk their aircraft carrier they could have modified it to operate on sand dunes! :whistling:

    Bump

Seems Iran has erupted again. I expect the government will shutdown the internets there soon.

Amazing to see Iranians do what Russians can't.

The main reason on the twitter posts is that it's one of the only places people are getting news as to what's going on in Iran (along with other social media platforms). There is very little Western media allowed inside the country these days and twitter are other platforms are just the fastest way of getting alot of the videos, photos, etc out. Of course that's also tricky because the government has been shutting down the internet for large portions of the day.

I hope that the Iranian woman rock climber is okay. She didn't wear her hijab at an event in South Korea.

Just found this thread. I have a few questions about Iran, if @Iranian Monitor or anyone else is interested in answering:

    1) Do you support the overthrow/removal of the current regime, with or without foreign influence?

    2) If yes to question #1, what government structure would you prefer for Iran? If no, are there any areas in which you disagree with the Islamic Republic authorities? Would you like to see any reforms of the IR and what form would said reforms take?

    3) Are most Iranians religious Muslims? In light of the Mahsa Amini controversy, is mandatory hijab really a controversial issue among most average Iranians?

    4) Do most Iranians support the current government? How representative are the current protests of actual public opinion in Iran? What about the views of the diaspora? How do they differ or converge with the views of Iranians in Iran?

Doctors in Iran are reporting that, compared to male protesters who are shot by state security forces trying to suppress protests, female protesters are being systematically shot in their genitals.
