Congrats to any IDV fans here. Always rooting for our own in these finals. One day these guys are going to earn the respect they deserve and be viewed as a contender in every big international tourney. Thanks again for giving the country something to feel good about.

This game was a microcosm of what the national team would look like if they would finish their chances. It’s not surprise that the scoring protagonists for IDV are always foreigners.

I saw the second goal - WOW!

Looks like there's a lot of scandal with the refereeing in the match...LigaPro has been dogged by these issues for quite some time. Still, that blooper by Dominguez is a tough one to swallow.

Truth in the statements...Ecuador really needs to take note.

Will the new movement be to nationalize Lautaro Diaz? Similar motions were made for both Bieler and Barcos back in the day, and well...we lost Barcos to Argentina on 4 generally inconsequential caps. If Ecuador can't fix their scoring drought, I suspect there will be pressure to nationalize.

He’s only been here for a couple months. No way he’d ever nationalize and most likely be sold after this performance.

He can’t be our main GK. As much as he has good saves you are always guaranteed something like this.

Congratulations to Independiente del Valle for winning the 2022 Copa Sudamericana!

Ramirez without a doubt will be Ecuador's third GK. He's also the goalie of the future.

Jhoanner Chavez and Marco Angulo have promising careers ahead of them.

Does Alfaro take Sornoza to the WC?

Let's keep a close eye on Francisco Sagardia. The media made good news on him in IDV U20 Libertadores. They either purchased him to flip him for a huge sell. Or to have a great future striker we could nationalized.

I don't think Diaz will stay in Ecuador long enough to even be considered. He's only 24 years old so he's a candidate to be transferred within a year or two tops.

It will depend a lot on IDV opting to to buy his contract from CA Estudiantes and what the price/terms at the time of signing the deal taking him to IDV.

I'm more impressed with his sprint! The knock on him is that he's slow. He showed good speed there.

Yes I was very surprised to see that. If we can't see him in the wc, in the Copa America him and Alvarado should explode on the nt then.

I miss the senior squad free kick goals.

    Walter Ayovi was our guy.
