That song is hilarious. Like a lot of Morrissey’s lyrics I can’t tell how intentional it is, but that’s alright.

 

The Smiths had Johnny Marr while The Cure had no one comparable.

I will not turn on the news channel for the next couple of days for sure. It has been all Queen all the time today. I heard some of the most absurd takes this morning, among them Christiane Amanpour, who should know better, claiming that the Queen spent the last 70 odd years working day and night in service go the British people. What a load of nonsense......Anyway, my feeling below.

CNN reporter asks British woman about Queen Elizabeth, who says she's not "the biggest fan of the queen" so she's not "upset or overwhelmed by it."

She adds it's because of "British colonial history" and "quite shady" things like Prince Andrew.

Charles is going to diminish the crown’s standing even more. I can’t imagine anyone really wants him to be king. He’s got some serious Diana baggage.
