There were 18 passes. It was brilliant. -- I'd urge anyone who can, to watch the first 12 minutes of this game again. It was tremendous. -- Rashford was good, but this game was actually a good advert for why we need a 9. Once we lost control of the match, he grew disinterested. He wants to have touches or to be in a position to influence the match frequently. That's understandable, but once he got distracted, it affected his pressing and movement and it actually threw the whole game off for. If you contrast this to how Jesus made himself a nuisance and turned clearances and long balls into possession and attacks. I can't wait to see how this team is improved by February/March, injuries permitting.
as he should, regardless of what you think of him. that Joel guy was on some next level drugs. he actually said Saliba was the best CB at 21 the league has ever seen? lol
Arsenal fans maintain the position of being the least sane bunch. They are complaining about the officiating in this game. I wouldn't have been happy at having a goal overturned, but sure they can see that it was a foul. Even if they still felt it was hard on them, Lokonga committed what was clearly a red card offence and escaped punishment.
There will be an incident later in the season that will be similar and they'll cry if a foul is not given
If the game was in London, those calls might have gone against us. They weren't cut-and-dried. There was some room to play with them.
Arsenal fans are a weird breed. They like to paint themselves as the underdog in every game while also bragging about how good they are.
Carragher tryna backstep All of a sudden @Carra23 thinks its too soon to review Lisandro Martinez??? Was great to go and chat to Neville and Carragher on the Overlap yesterday… pic.twitter.com/vF4JKhYNXH— Joe Smith (@JoeSmith93) September 6, 2022 Kno what I mean Blud pic.twitter.com/K6kFGcc6Fl— Amin (@CHAMP1ON_M1N) September 6, 2022
This all started in the Wenger era. I remain convinced that the mentality of the coach bleeds into the fanbase, and Wenger LOVED to moan.
Interesting analysis thread; Manchester United - Arsenal {tactical analysis}🧵- United's structure out of possession- Line breaking passes key to Man Utd's attacks- Ramsdale's clipped passes - Arteta's 2nd half changes help, then hinder Arsenal pic.twitter.com/kWheoRpsMS— Dharnish (@dharnishiqbal) September 6, 2022
I saw Carragher say he wouldn't want to play next to a 5'9" defender. Cannavaro? Baresi? They were both that height. These pundits are stuck in the past when there were teams like Wimbledon and forwards like John Fashanu.
