since Chich, would play for them for free, instead of the team that is paying him, I propose a swap of Chich and bags of monies for Ronaldo
CR7 definitely coming then. Herbalife pays the salary and he comes to the Galaxy for a paltry salary of $1/yr.
This quote from Puig at his press conference certainly could go either way! Riqui Puig's first thoughts when he knew the LA Galaxy were interested in signing him: "I couldn’t imagine this club was reaching out to me… I couldn’t believe I was being called by the LA Galaxy.” https://t.co/IRKI0xZ0rA— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) August 17, 2022
Yep a contract for the remainder of the season with the option for extension to DP status in the next season. The league would create a rule just to allow such a signing to happen. There is no way in the world that they would pass up a legit shot at Cristiano Ronaldo or a Lionel Messi.
Puig is going to draw a lot of fouls if he dribbles like that at the top of the box. One step closer to his debut ⚡️@RiquiPuig x #LAGalaxy pic.twitter.com/AgmyfYU9D4— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) August 18, 2022
I agree with this. He drew a lot of fouls at RM. If Vanney is smart enough to play him near the box he can dribble around, get fouled, and we will get to see Costa and Alvarez repeatedly miss just high and wide.
Actually Costa has proven that he can pull a free kick Goal if close enough. Efrain on the other hand not so much.
its obvious, Costa is a master mathematician and figured out the angles and trajectories for him to be able to net that goal, the rest of us are just guessing and assuming while he dazzles us with his wizardry
I guess they are looking for help in the center back position, but I suppose he could also play right back if Araujo was transferred.
Carceres has played about 20 games in two years and is on the wrong side of 30. this seems like another agent scouting transactions and Uruguay is the new France for the Galaxy
Yeah they may be getting ready for araujo to leave. In any event I like uruguayan defensive players in general. Tough, smart players for the most part. In the same vein as our former G, Diego Polenta. He should get along reall well with his countryman Brugman. I thought the trade window was closed? Do rules not matter here because he's coming from abroad or what?
Says he's going to be out of contract. We can sign out of contract players until the roster freeze, which I think is in early September sometime.
I think Caceres is an alright signing. The guy is pretty crazy and a hardnose defender. I truthfully haven't seen him play much lately, but he can play RB and CB so no matter what formation Vanney goes with, we have coverage. I just hope we aren't paying him anything crazy.
Cover for the rest of the year, I'm cool with that. Particulary if we lose Araujo and he can play right back. Best we can do under the circumstances. Now if we lose tonight and then don't get 4 points on our two game road trip following, we need to just play the youth, including Neal.
Hard to believe the Galaxy would take a full squad team photo, including Puig, if they knew they were in the process of adding one or two more on a free transfer and if they knew one of their current players was leaving now. Seems like you would take this photo at this time because you know you're done and this is the full roster for the rest of the season. https://www.instagram.com/p/Chc7-XHP5AI/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
It really doesn't matter who THIS front office brings in. They will almost certainly be a waste of money and if the do have some talent Vanney will use them horribly.
