This actually makes me so happy. We are finally being noticed.

It annoys me that Jordy joined Tigres. The World Cup is in a couple of months and in all likelihood he won't be a regular starter for them. He had a chance of starting for the NT had he stayed in Bulgaria and kept scoring goals.

Jordy would be definitely getting playing time in Bulgaria.

I’d be pissed if Moises joins United. I hope he doesn’t waste his best years in a team that is badly run.

I was reading comments on Twitter. Does anyone remember his game against Liverpool? I thought he was getting eaten alive from what I remember but the comments say otherwise. He definitely will improve.

To be fair, getting eaten alive by that Liverpool squad basically means you can hang tough with almost anyone else.

Brighton has 15 games from August until November, start of the WC. If these 3 are able to play most of them we will have an amazing core.

Someone should start a new thread that we keep stats of these guys. Like played games, minutes, goals. Having 3 guys in the same team in the EPL gives us serious advantage.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed Brighton are monitoring Cifuentes. Having four Ecuadorians playing for the same club in the Premier League would be epic.

I don’t like that guy. I think he got famous by “borrowing” from other journalists.

Cifuentes' situation is interesting. LAFC has the best record in the league and is a series candidate to win the championship. Their midfield depth isn't great though. Cifu leaving makes them a weaker team. His value has never been higher. He's ready to make the jump to a more competitive league. He can have an impressive showing at the WC and LAFC can sell him for an even greater sum. Personally I'd like to see him go to the Premier League but I can see why LAFC may be inclined to hold onto him for the time being.

Having NT players play for the same club team is an advantage for sure. Mena and Castillo. Cifuentes and Palacios. Sarmiento, Moises, and Pervis. It can help with chemistry. It can also help adjusting to a new team and city. I would imagine Moises and Sarmiento will help Pervis settle in.

I was referring that you’re probably going to be the only Melgar hincha in there.

/ I only follow him because of the memes.

That's not true at all. Melgar is gonna bring 4k or more.

Only reason they didn't bring people to Brazil is because it was expensive. To Racing and Deportivo Cali I think the number exceeded 1000.

To be fair, if we Ecuadorians don't want to visit Guayaquil, imagine how paranoid foreigners are lmao

Last time I went to Ecuador was about 10 years ago. People have no respect for anyone there. I remember walking with my bags trying to cross to the parking lot and they won’t stop for you, they will definitely run you over.

I was there back in 2017 and things were the same. Taxis will run you over to get customers lol

I think the only places that are safe to cross are areas like these where they have to be careful not to hit houses

Jhoanner Chavez is a player to keep an eye on. Pervis is a lock to make the World Cup roster. Palacios too. Chavez would be an option should either of them get injured. He's a LB pero tiene gol. He probably would have been transferred this summer had the circumstances been different. Idv has a decent chance of winning la copa sudamericana. They don't have a replacement for him though. Beder is injured. Minda is more of a winger. El libro de pases is closed too.

Another player to keep an eye on is William Pacho. He's started 7 games so far this season. His team hasn't lost a game in which he's played in (6 wins, 1 tie).

Moises, Gruezo, Franco, Mendez, and Cifuentes are the center mids Alfaro would go with if the WC started tomorrow. I'd like for Marco Angulo to get a look though. Moises and Marco in midfield would be interesting. There's other names too - Gaibor, Carcelen, Jhonny Quiñónez, Arroyo. Ecuador has good depth in midfield.

Pacho has been doing extremely well and the kid now has the physique to go with his passing skills.

Crazy to think we have so much depth in defense and midfield but not CF specifically.

Maybe it's time we get a winger and convert him to a CF like we did with Enner years ago.
