Noting that crossing for header goals is basically the least efficient offensive footballing strategy available for teams to employ. It drives me crazy how sides simply pump balls in, it's so low %.

What is the most efficient strategy to employ? Defenses are all about making it difficult to get a good look on goal.

I get what you mean but placing all teams in one category wrt crossing accuracy and finishing is an oversimplification. Besides, I wrote this post in a Weston thread. If you took away crossed balls into the box how many goals would you expect him to score? Seems like half his goals are scored with his head.

Pretty sure it's a pass into the back of the net from 5 yards in front of the keeper. Good luck getting the ball into that position. Most teams facing a bunker are not going to be able to do that so crosses it is.

As for Weston, sounds like it was at worst a partial tear in the joint. For a soccer player it's all about pain management and trying not to jar the shoulder until enough fibers have healed. Not like a baseball or football player where playing on a bum shoulder is basically impossible.

Maybe Juve hired the Dortmund training staff?

If he mismanages his $ after his career is over at least he has some options to donate things.

Odd jokes aside, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him make the bench 10 days from now.

Glad I waited before I bought my jersey. I don’t normally get player names, but I feel like it’s time.

Funnily enough, the last shirt I purchased with a name and number was Marchisio’s 8 in 2011-12…

I'm not a jersey guy. I feel self-conscious as a middle aged fellow with the names of youngsters on my shirts. Still, one of my proudest investments is my McKennie Juventus jersey I bought solely on the basis of his preseason performances in 2020. Kinda like buying Apple stock in the eighties.

Based on his comments, McKennie does seem to be available for tomorrow's match against Sassuolo, but Allegri also mentions that he'll have an interesting dilemma in picking from McKennie, Kostic, and Cuadrado.

I just hope they're not rushing him back because they're feeling a little light in midfield.

I am surprised he is available for the Sassuolo match. Juve is light in attack not really in CM.

    Locatelli
    Pogba (injured)
    McKennie
    Zakaria
    Arthur (pushed out)
    Rabiot (probably being sold)
    Rovella (possible loan)
    Fagioli
    Miretti

I worry more about the other players that were referenced by Allegri.

Kostic and Cuadrado are not CM so hopefully Wes isn’t going to be played as a wide midfielder or WB.

Weston is in the squad for today's game. Also no Rabiot.

Rabiot and Kean are suspended from yellow card accumulation last year.

A good amount of sources are saying that Wes is starting on the left of a midfield 4. Hopefully it is more of a 4-3-3 than a 4-4-2.
