Chelsea is definitely going to feel hard done by. At the very least, Romero certainly yanked Cucurella down by the hair. Straight red. The non-call maybe -- maybe -- is a little more understandable. From his angle it could have looked like there was a touch on the ball. Sure looked like a foul, though.
Tuchel surely gets a red as well for instigating the entire post whistle melee. Who grips a coaches hand like that and refuses to release it? Then tells the coach, look me in the eye. Clown show.
Always felt that some of Neymar’s more negative qualities would rub off on him when he initially went there.
Everton really sailed under the radar on the genocidal oligarch front but they've been utter twats since the 80s
Three teams at the bottom have played 2 games and lost both .. goal difference of .. minus 10 !! Guess the one common factor !!
David Moyse left Everton in a bit of a mess Took over from Fergie at ManU and left them in a mess Now he’s at West Ham ..
Hopefully Palace get a point or win off Pool and then the bottom 3 will all have been Moyes projects.
Both managers deserved to see red today I thought. I suspect that the final exchange will get reviewed and things will be “leveled up”. Tuchel seemed to instigate the violent handshake. Lol
And with that draw, there will be only 2 perfect teams after 2 games. Not that that’ll last too long.
You don't think City can keep it up? In France, Nuno scored again for OM. So did Balogun from the penalty spot.
holy shit, mendy is good. i mean, yes, spurs got 2 goals but dude was excellent otherwise. i don't understand why teuchel keeps putting james at RCB instead of RWB. dude is obscene as a FB/WB. alexander-arnold is pretty damn terrific but i'm not certain i'd take him over james there. that non-call was utter garbage. could the main referee have missed it real-time? sure. the assistant was right there. AND you have VAR. did anyone remember all the grumbling in the media about the xhaka goal vs united and how it should have been called off because of interference? so far i've seen zero with richarlison standing right between mendy and hojberg. considering taylor was STANDING. RIGHT. THE. FUCK. THERE for the hairpull AND you have VAR, how in the hell is that a no-call and zero penalty of any kind? and, then, right when they stopped talking romero immediately shoves cucurella in the chest. WTF? remember when we got fined last year for doing the same thing every other team does and complained to the referee? there had better be some hefty ass fines coming for this damn much ado.
I'm not even sure which non-call leading to a Tottenham goal you're talking about, which says a lot about that game. Anyway, ******** both teams, I hope no one is happy.
The Arsenal fan in me is glad both teams dropped points, but the Premier League fan in me is horrified at the refereeing decisions that essentially screwed Chelsea. Specifically the hair pull at the end. Given some of the tacky stuff they do often call on set pieces, how is that not even a foul?! Sent from my moto g power (2021) using BigSoccer mobile app
the bentancur foul on havertz. the assistant was RIGHT there. easily most telling to me is bentancur himself stopped and was looking for the foul. but, yeah, absolutely fair point about how many there were.
Read some stuff that Taylor had a bad angle for the foul on Havertz (doesn't excuse the AR, but...). However, Richarlison is clearly interfering with play while IOP on Hjoiberg's goal. He even moves toward the ball at first before freezing. Should have been called back.
Nice theory, but the facts don’t really fit the theory. Moyes overachieved at Everton, finishing 6th in his final season. He had 10 months to try to rebuild an aging United team nearly a decade ago, something no manager since has been able to accomplish, and he has been overachieving with the West Ham team. The problems at both Everton and United go higher than the manager.
…red card on the pitch but still valid on social media.Antonio Conte’s late night message to Tuchel on Instagram 😀⤵️ pic.twitter.com/lmYFxDEuKR— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 14, 2022 Antonio Conte became the Tottenham Hotspur manager today.
That run celebration was cringe from Tuchel. Disgusting. Moyes was hard done imo. Too much pressure from coming after SAF. I don't think long term he would have been right but in terms of rebuilding a squad, he imo could have done a more than decent job. Some coaches are phases, the next coach goes on win trophies. But their management is awful. I'm thankful for the way Mikel, Edu and team and special shout out to Josh Kroenke actually have restructured and work together.
it was a quick counter so i don't have a problem with taylor not being in a great position. but assistant/line judge was right there. as soon as havertz got up he was on same line with line judge. heck, bentancur himself stopped expecting a foul. 100%. if you look at replay, it is nearly a straight line with hjoiberg, richarlison, and mendy. and i have seen ZERO of the rhetoric i heard last year on xhaka's goal vs manchester united. the play at 61' when kane missed a shot should have been called back as well. son was offside and made a move towards the ball before either kane called him off or he noticed kane getting the ball. that in and of itself should have ended that play.
