Fofana for €95m is a bit extreme. You're gonna tell me we can't find someone similar in a different league for less? I mean what do we pay our scouts for?

    lol
God I hope we do not pay actual money for him.
I mean IF we took him we would be doing them a favour taking his salary off their "salary mass".

Yes, "salary mass", it is all part of the Surrealistic Protocols of Barca. The fourth lever has been pulled. Kounde and Alonso? Not yet in. In order for Kounde and Alonso to be registered, Barcelona will need to free up 'salary mass'. They may have to pull the Fifth.

"The club is very positive," said Xavi. "We've just announced the fourth lever and we believe that tomorrow will be arranged. Maybe not 100%, but we'll see tomorrow.

Chelsea have made an improved offer of £10m for Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei, but the Serie A side want £15m

Ziyech being linked to Man Utd? Pulisic being linked to Newcastle? ppppfffttt

We can't get rid of CHO, Pulisic and Ziyech. We only need to shift one. I favour a lone for CHO. A year of regular games could work wonders for him and we get the benefit.

Fofana looked to have said goodbye to the Leicester away fans earlier. Could be just reading into it too much.

Auba wants to stay, Barca need him to go, due to his wages. We have to let him stay there just to mess with Barcelona and their salary structure - salary mass - especially as Xavi has asked Barcelona to re-sign Argentina forward Lionel Messi. lol.

Pass on Gordon. We need players that are upgrades at this stage.

I concur. But it is our manager Tom who likes him and he sees him as an upgrade on Pulisic, CHO and Ziyech.

Likewise with the Auba interest. That is all coming from Tuchel.

Tuchel needs a say but he shouldn’t be final say. We need a DoF.

We do. I like Tuchel. He may even be my fave Chelsea manager, lets wait and see. . .but yeah, it is good that Todd has involved him, but everything needs checks and balances.

That said, Frank Lampard really loves this Gordon kid. He's the only player who has played every game for him. His first son Mount did pretty well. Maybe his second son Gordon could reach those levels. Gordon has the work rate, the pace and the pressing ability…

He hasn’t shown the other skills that are harder tho. He isn’t worth that fee and doesn’t make us better. We need quality.

15m + 5m in add ons for Cesare Casadei from Inter.

Again, not much of an upgrade to anyone we already have.

80 million for Fofana and 45 million for Anthony Gordon is peak Barcelona-level idiocy. Hopefully someone wises up, and quickly.

not to worry we will also have time to spend 25 million quid on Auba. . . a player Barca signed on a free and a player they cannot afford to pay his wages.

I would take Ronaldo on a one year contract - certainly over Auba . . But only IF he was willing to stay humble, not force Kante to give up his number 7, and accept sitting on the bench and being an impact sub in a number of games. Also give shooting lesson to the rest of the squad on Tuesday and Thursday nights, but the chances of that are basically zero, so . . .

We need a striker....or play Broja a lot. Can't play Sterling or Havertz there.

I’d like to see Broja given the start against Leeds.
    Sterling-Broja-Mount

Puli as the first attacking sub
Kai we might need to look at as an 8

Reading Puli out on loan. Personally think there's plenty of minutes to be distributed. Regardless, if he leaves I rather get cash.

Yea it’s tough, I don’t think they want to sell him cause the talents there and issue was mostly injuries. However, we’re also doing a squad rebuild and he’s one of the few pieces we could make some good money on.

I don't get why he can't play consistently.

Mostly been muscular injuries if memory serves… tends to mean something with training but just might be one of those guys.

From there, he’s a rhythm and confidence player. Needs consistent reps to get going which health makes difficult.

Tuchel has also had to move him around a lot because of injuries. He’s at his best as a LW or RW but filled in at ST (false 9), RWB and LWB.

Callum Hudson-Odoi out on loan and Ziyech leaving, so it is very unlikely we shall release Pulisic. He needs to up his game this season for sure. This is it for him. I think he can do it. No.10.

I don’t understand the attraction of Gordon at all. Decent player. Brings nothing new/extra. Whose minutes does he get?
