that old adage ... what was it again? oh yeah - "you get what you pay for". NOT!!!! Brentford starting 11 cost £54 mil, Man Utd £424 mil (Martinez cost more than the entire Brentford XI) Brentfords' Annual Wagebill is currently £16,834.000 Man Utd's Annual Wagebill is currently £202,785.000
What a ********ing shitshow by United. I mean honestly, how much does this have to continue before they go hire Poch? Do the decisionmakers even care anymore?
I honestly keep thinking, "alright, this has been hilarious but they're about to turn it all around..." But no! The shit show continues! Long may it last. Encore! Encore!
if the game happens. their nutcase fans will do anything they can to ensure it gets postponed, and just like they tried during lockdown they are planning a protest for that day.
If I’m LFC I’m not thrilled having to play such a wounded mess of a team. I mean, there HAS to be a response of sorts from United right? Unless they’re legitimately “start with 0 points from 3 games” bad?
Actually I'm not happy at all with the Manure shitshow yesterday. Makes next week that much trickier for us, their fans will demand a response.
Well there's a rumour making the rounds that Utd fans will once again protest their owners and attempt to shut down our game next week. Man United fans planning another protest for Liverpool's visit - Liverpool FC - This Is Anfield
The temperatures are hovering around the mid 30s (mid/high 90s in old money) in England, with mandatory drinks breaks in both halves. Therefore it makes all the sense in the world that City have banned sun cream from the Emtpihad. Apparently there’s no truth to the rumor that Didier Lallement, the fired chief of police from the CL final in Paris has a new job in Manchester.
It’s not just the manager, as the comms have finally gotten through their heads after the sh!tshow transfer season this last summer. The entire upper management/recruitment of that team is incompetent. It is clear the Glazers have no F’ing idea what they are doing, even after owning the team for close to 20 years. They walked into a cash cow and have treated it like that ever since. While Rednose was in charge things were fine. But he was really running the show, and there was no one around him who actually knew what they were doing. Had the Glazers actually been interested in understanding what it took to run a top Premiere club they should have learned as much as they could while he was still there, but they were only interested in raking in the money. Now they are screwed and will likely watch their investment continue to depreciate. The only way I see this changing is with a buy out that clears house. But that would take an investment team that actually knows what they are doing and has a shadow management team ready to come in and take over - and even then it will take 3-4 years to weed out and clear out the current players that need to go, and there is no guarantee they get it right. In my view the Glazers came in and basically ruined what was a footballing firmament through inattention. In some respects I’m glad that Liverpool weren’t in as good shape when H&G took over. It meant when things started going off the rails that they couldn’t be papered over as long. We got a set of engaged owners, that after a few years of learning the ropes, figured out who they needed in key management/recruitment positions. Do I wish we had owners with a larger market cap wealth? Sure, but the ones we got seem to be shrewd operators and interested in growing the team the right way. What will be big is eventually lining up a replacement for Klopp, who was an inspired coaching choice. One hopes we can manage that transition better than ManU have…
Spurs score an equalizer in the same manner that Flham scored against us. A foul was committed by a Spurs player that Anthony Taylor missed and then they went down and scored. Tuchel went absolutely bonkers.
game ended in a tie. Kante got a hammy injury. a very bad-tempered game. lost of snide fouls and both managers sent off for behaving like pricks. lovely. long may it continue.
god almighty. how much?? for him??!!?? Everton have turned down a £40m offer from Chelsea for England Under-21 forward Anthony Gordon. It is understood Chelsea are likely to come back with a higher offer in a bid to tempt Everton to sell the homegrown 21-year-old.
I’m feeling a tad like that after the shit show we played last. I’m demanding a response. Not totally joking.
Exactly. Hopefully Palace will be the victims in our case. We don't want to be in that place next week.
