From the articles I saw today Kalimuendo everything is agreed to where as Max seems to be a clear path with Angelino going to Hoffenheim

I'd like to see Scally get a move out of BMG to Leeds. Transfmkt has him at same market value as Philipp Max (8.0M). Max seems to be in a downtrend in market value. i don't think Marsch has the guts to play Scally at lb anyway.

2-2 draw today. Leeds controlled the first 60+ minutes, but Marsch was too slow with the substitutions and it cost them today.

Definitely 2 points lost for Leeds.

i think he really needs to develop a secondary/"finishing" tactic- they cant play the way he wants for 90 minutes every match. every match cant be the climax of a sports movie.

if they had the money/were able to upgrade their defense a lot i think they already would have (and are still working on things, of course)- so i think going to a more possession-based look at times could help a lot. going to a 3 man backline (or literally dropping adams between the cbs) and spreading the field, for example. get some use out of james' legs, harrison and aaronsons possession, rocas already more of a holder than dmid (though not super impressive regardless). to put it in nt terms- play musah and luca together in the middle. lay off the chasing press and funnel the opposition.

this is an overly negative longview, but matches like today can/will very possibly be consistent losses to top half teams and that will get demoralizing really fast.

Don’t look now (actually do, while it lasts) but Leeds is currently in the Champions League places at #4

Worst thing about today is losing Bamford to injury, and it could be serious.

Leeds are going to need to get a striker in before the transfer closes. Marsch better be working the phone lines as of this moment because they need at least one body there.

and im not some wacko here- if the next option after bamford is freaking daniel james then yeah...id go pepi.

Yep, way too slow to make subs.
Wonder if, ironically, Che Adams might be the guy who comes in.

Especially considering the supposedly mega high temps, ironic considering that going in he talked up his experience coaching in America in our MLS in summer hellscape games which would give him an advantage. You can't have a bigger advantage than a 2 goal lead in that heat w/a half hour to play. Whoops.

Very bummed they chucked 2 points away.

Eh, neither of those hypothetical options are very good but I'd rather take my chances on the guy who has at least shown he has the ability to occasionally score and create goals in the best league in the world...not the guy who hasn't come particularly close to scoring in Germany...

Most especially because Southampton is a team Leeds could very well battle against to avoid relegation. If that had been… Newcastle for example, who came back from 0-2 to get a draw, probably wouldn’t have really factored into bottom of the table standing for Newcastle come near season’s end.

If they run out of Ted Lasso episodes they can just show this Leeds game today for a few laughs. I tuned in at the 65' mark or so and was aghast. What an embarrassment.

So, Leeds are gonna need a forward. Anyone in MLS you think Jesse would want that would qualify for a WP?

The Kai Wagner rumors at left back I think are a nice flex by Marsch.

I was thinking it, doesnt really have the big man frame they like that is similar to Bamford or Gelhardt. He'd certainly qualify for a work permit now. Leeds will be certainly willing to break the bank and take a risk on someone given the circumstances now, they dont have much time to look. What other forwards have they been linked to? I know the Belgian guy went to AC Milan

They won’t be able to afford him and I don’t think he’d go.

Leeds have apparently also been linked with LAFC's Jose Cifuentes. Not sure there's much there. They were linked with Taty Castelllanos for a while and then nothing happened and he went to Girona.
Personally, I think Arango would be an interesting player for Leeds to look at.

Such a bummer of an ending. In game adjustments not good enough.
