Yes, I noticed that too. Not the end of the world, but far from ideal. I do hope they fix it, especially when they start charging for Vix+.
I've been pretty happy that Vix is NOT appear to be playing commercials every 5 minutes like they did at the Euros. They only seem to keep on-demand games for a day or so. It is Friday and the Poland v. Wales match from Wednesday is no longer available. So if you want to watch a replay, don't dawdle!
Yes, there were no in-game commercials in any of the Nations League games I've watched over the past two days. This is obviously key if want to attract paying customers for Vix+. Hopefully Vix+ will also keep on-demand games longer (the way ESPN+ does). And of course, they need to fix the announcers/picture synch issues (which, to be fair, only seems to have affected a limited number of games). To put it simply: no in-game commercials + longer availability of on-demand game + no synch issues = count me in as a Vix+ subscriber, hoping for pricing comparable to ESPN+/Paramount+.
Lost live feed of Austria-Denmark on Vix around minute 78. Could not get it back. Tried the web site on my computer and the app through my Amazon Firestick. Anyone in the same boat? This is stuff Vix is going to have to iron out before they start the paid service.
I posted on the first page of this thread that games were stopping. That seemed to be a quirk that day and fine the next day. I had not experienced the sync problem until a few days ago with one of the Colombia games. But I only watched the first half and watched the second half the next day. No sync problems. I tested first again after watching the second half and no sync problems. I have no idea if you can quit out and start again to solve the problem, but a pain to test since VIX does not save your location in a game like ESPN or Peacock. It's shocking to me that Univision is a major force in the TV market but continues to use cheaper stuff. They seem to use BeIN's people.
I was watching the England v. Germany match last night on-demand and the Roku app crashed after halftime. I rebooted and fast-forwarded to the second half and had the same crash occur again. Really frustrating. I didn't try any of the other matches.
Trying to catch a couple of UEFA Nations League on replay tonight on Vix and it looks like all replay games are gone. Is anyone able to access them? Was hoping to find Switzerland vs. Spain and Belgium vs. Poland. I know Univision is using this Nations League window as a trial run for Vix+, but I'm starting to doubt their ability to offer a decent product (say, on par with ESPN+). Live feeds cutting off, some synch problems between announcers and pictures, and a big question mark on replay availability. Anyone with ties to/insight on Univision/Vix able to shed light on what's going on?
I logged in to post the same thing about the replays disappearing. They were there earlier today since I watched one of the Colombia playoffs from yesterday, although the Atl Nacional game was not there. Then by the end of the afternoon, everything was gone. My Spanish is garbage and I don't really mess with Twitter otherwise I would tweet at them. I assume that's the only hope to get them moving on fixing problems. Man, what a summer in terms of TV coverage taking a major nosedive. BTW, I saw on DTV that Fox has also listed the England Nations League games as PPV for $25 per game. I guess it's 2000 all over again.
Anyone else having weird pixelation on the bottom of the screen on Nations League matches today? it was an issue throughout the Ukraine-Armenia match. Now I’m seeing it on Ireland- Scotland. The Faroe Island - Lithuania, curiously , looks fine. is this happening to anyone else? I am pretty sure it is on the Vix end. Watching on Roku smart TV.
Vix+ finally started. I might pay as the Peruvian and Colombian leagues near playoff time. But the quick dump from their on demand is a concern. If you don't watch within a day or two the games were gone. Is this the same deal with VIX+? Any kind of DVR with their service? I laugh even asking that question but figured I'd ask anyway.
T-Mobile advertising promo for 1 free year of Vix+, supposedly redeemable "starting mid-August": https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans-features/vix
Has anyone tried to redeem the free year of Vix+ through T-Mobile? Following instructions on the T-Mobile web site, I get to a page with a "Redeem Now" button to activate my offer. Clicking on the button takes me to the Vix+ site, but then no free access. Only subscription option is $6.99/month. I'd be very interested in hearing other people's experience with this process.
What worked for me was deleting my existing Vix account prior to signing up for the T-Mobile promo and then re-creating an account when signing up. For those of us interested in UEFA Nations League and ok with Spanish language commentary, Vix+ is saving us from the Fox/Fubo racket. I was ready to pay $6.99 a month for the service, but the T-Mobile deal makes this even better.
ViX and ViX+ will broadcast all UEFA games https://corporate.televisaunivision.com/press/2022/09/01/all-the-champions-lives-on-vix/
For Scotland-Ukraine on Vix/TUDN today, the audio is 3-4 seconds ahead of the picture. Some of us had observed the same problem for the Nations League rounds this past spring. Extremely annoying that this hasn't been fixed, especially now that Vix is partly a pay service with Vix+ costing $6.99/month. Don't get me wrong: I really appreciate Vix/Vix+ providing an alternative to the Fox/Fubo racket for UEFA national teams games, but is it too much to ask to have synched image and sound?
I was looking to watch some of the U20 tourney in Mexico City on demand (and perhaps a UEFA Nations League match or two), on Vix. When you go to watch the match it shows a loop of commercials and then ends abruptly. i am watching on an Amazon fire stick. Is this happening to anyone else?
Sound and image slightly out of synch again today, on Portugal-Spain. This time, commentary is a bit behind, which is a lot better than the other way around--but why can't they get it right? Is it really that hard to synch audio and video on a broadcast?
No replays that I can find on Vix for recent Nations League games. Only matches available are a selection of game played in June. I've been a vocal advocate here and in other places of Vix/Vix+ as an alternate to the Fox/Fubo racket for UEFA national teams games, but it is clear now that the Vix/Vix+ service has serious shortcomings, most notably: - Audio/video synch issues - Limited and inconsistent availability of match replays - Access problems for some live games (as reported by Roti2000 above) When it was all a free service, those were merely annoying inconveniences, but at $6.99/month (subscription cost for Vix+), the sub-par quality of the product is a real concern.
The other thing that seems to be happening--although my memory could be faulty--is that they are not airing as much (any?) European matches on the Univision OTA channels. Maybe because it is the Nations League and not something like Euro or WC qualifying, but I don't think they aired any games this last window on UniMas/Univision. My recollection is that in previous years they would have at least 2-3 each matchday across the UniMas/Univision stations.
Maybe it’s been this way for a while, but YouTubeTV does have TUDN now. (Got an email that Fubo is increasing by $19/month which made me look elsewhere.)
