I have seen him play in Ligue 1 maybe 5 times. My impressions based on those matches was that he certainly doesn’t lack the physical tools or technical skills to succeed, but his game needs some seasoning or broadening. I am hoping this new manager can help him get that. Given his potential and age I certainly wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him with the Nats in the future.

He absolutely has the speed for top level he just has to broaden his game. Even in his minimal time with the Nats he seemed clueless when he'd beat his man with pace but there was nobody in the box

If the checks were to clear and someone asked me if I'd take a million dollars to play in the Greek capital, I'd be all like yes pls

That's interesting. Corberán's just come off of a 2-year stint as the Huddersfield manager, a post which he walked away from and not sacked. His first season was dire - they escaped relegation by only 6 points and the fare was dreadful - but last season they finished 3rd, just 6 points off automatic promotion and played decent, if cagey, football.

He will be able to learn a good deal from Corberan. If he does, this move isn't necessarily the dead end I said it would be.

I shouldn’t have to remind of this, but the BS ToS allow a change in position only in very limited circumstances. Here - with the Olympiacos manager known (or knowable) - you cannot change your opinion. Rather, you must double-down on your original post - it’s too late to change camps.

Meanwhile, I will cling fiercely and unshakably to my own strongly held position, that I’m nearly certain this move could work, while allowing for the substantial possibility that it might not.

The silver lining is that he will be healthy in November.

PS: He's going to play the last 10 minutes.

And Konrad refuses to go home empty-handed on his debut. Yellow late in stoppage time.

Nte la Phouente. They went for a phonological representation, not for the actual translation ("from the fountain").
