Going to Qatar 2022: tickets, accommodations, etc. (non-politics)

I too would like to know. I mean what prevents the main applicant from changing the guest name at a later date? Sounds too risky to spend all the money on travel and hotel, etc. only to find out you no longer have a ticket for the match.

 

I am planning to modify guests with my friends if they don’t get tickets during LMS. Currently I have simply used just random guest names to cart the tickets

 

looks like this could be the only day without a ticket drop since resale portal opened

 

You can even change the name of main ticket that when you download the ticket to the ticket app you can edit the name anyway

Really? This is definitely news. How did you find that out? Were those guest or main applicant tickets?

 

Like he said, names aren't important. Tickets will be issued to the main applicant email address, probably a few days before the game. The applicant then assigns guest tickets using the guests' email addresses. They'll complete their own personal details in the app, not that it matters.

 

Just a speculation based on the similar app on euro and UCL finals. Folks with Arab cup experience can confirm

 

Pretty sure that once the applicant has assigned a ticket to a guest successfully, they can't unassign it. But the guest can return it.

 

Yes if it is similar to other Secutix app as euro or UCL. They are separate app and when you create your account you can input whatever name and passport number which is separated from the portal account. You even don’t need portal password that every time logging into the ticket app you got an OTP in from the email

 

Not that suprising as FIFA is currenty selling their own tickets. Still believe holding all these back at the end will be relatively easy to get tickets even for KO and bigger group matches.

 

If someone used both the UEFA app and the Arab cup. Are the features completely the same as you mentioned or they are different apps?

 

I have no first hand experience with Arab cup but by looking at the app instruction on YouTube they are pretty much the same thing

Ah right didn’t pay attention to his first question. You cannot forward the main ticket you would still need the associated email account at least to receive the OTP. But likely you could “reset” the main ticket name and passport number

 

I didn't know that, is the app already released? What I did read is that from October it will be possible to have printed tickets on Qatar.

I got the same, just use a different credit card and things will go smoothly. This is what happened to me.

I have to disagree with that. Second-hand stories I have heard about 1966 and 1970 Brazil matches, to see Pele and company, had insane demand. The most insane demand I have personally seen for a single match was the 1998 final in Paris, with the home team in their first final against the defending champion, Zidane and company against Ronaldo, etc. Brazil matches in 2014 also had insane demand.
