Don’t think Arteta ever intended to use him at center half, he’d be playing the same role as Zinchenko is right now. That said, so far, Zinchenko appears a much better fit in that role.

It may be blasphemous but I think I may have enjoyed ManU’s destruction today more than our win….it’s close though, can’t tell. Either way, what a great day!

Nope. 4-0 thrashings (and that was four goals by the 35th minute) are to be savored.

I just wish I'd been there to watch it.

And for 60% of the price. I was okay with Martinez, but I’m glad it worked out the way it has.

I just caught up by zipping through BRE-MU.

I REALLY loved that the first 2 goals came from Brentford's harrassing and stealing the ball off their "mighty" opponents.

I'm not sure I enjoyed it more, but I do know what you mean. I had as big smile on my face as I watched ManUre's further implosion, as I did when we took care of Leicester.

It was 4-0 at HT! And Brentford managed to keep it there for the whole of 2T.

And that 4th goal was a thing of beauty. A quick-thinking, quick and perfect passing (only 2 required), counter-attack over the top, from box to box. For me there's nothing more exhilarating in footy than that type of goal.

p.s. MU's 7-game away losing streak is the longest since 1936. :inlove:

    I dunno, NB

If you're watching for the schadenfreude, stupid little ones like that first goal are on the money.

Barca sold millions of assets, bought a ton of new players, and still can't beat Rayo at home.

yeah, i think his height and size probably be much less of a problem as a fullback than it is in the middle.

i think the trade off between martinez and zinchenko is a defender who is capable on the ball and can contribute on offense vs an 8/10 who is capable of defending as a left-back.

Martinez isn’t as technical as Zinchenko with the ball at his feet, but his distribution from the back can be extraordinary, which is almost certainly why Arteta and Edu we’re looking at him, before the price went through the roof.

Just finished watching the Atlanta match. Cincy subbed on a player that I guess had been with the Red Devils' youth program, at which point the announcer said he hailed from "relegation threatened Manchester United."

Watched part of the Everton & Villa match. Only player from Everton that didnt look like ass was Onana. He showed tons of potential but a little chaotic like Nuno.

Martinez at CB has been a disaster and I am very glad we didn't get him.

Forest doesn't yet have a shirt sponsor?! That's surprising.

Yeah. Just catching up on their debut right now. And relishing in the clear simplicity of their solid red shirt. As far as I’m concerned, long may it last. Even if they badly need the sponsorship cash.

Late goal from Kane gets the draw, love to see them both drop points.

Does the PL purposefully reward it's worse referees with the biggest matches? Anthony Taylor is awful.
