That’s a strong case of HDR.. Watters: Donald Trump may get charged with the crime Hillary committed… pic.twitter.com/y5DWGislv6— Acyn (@Acyn) August 12, 2022
Woah, Watters is really trying hard for Trump’s caddy: Watters: Trump said he declassified documents before he left anyway. The feds said they seized classified documents. How did they know that? Just because some little lawyer didn’t put a c on the bottom of the page. Once the President says something is declassified, that’s it. pic.twitter.com/uv0jdY7fJi— Acyn (@Acyn) August 12, 2022 Wait till you hear the new defense pic.twitter.com/7GFHzs2yic— Acyn (@Acyn) August 12, 2022

It definitely makes them stupid: I’ve told this story repeatedly but my 91 yo MIL died and we found she was giving $50/mo since 2015 to tfg. She lived on social security and 2 pensions. Died in her chair watching Fox. A crime and a waste— i riot alone (@Firecrackerboom) August 13, 2022
Isn’t Tulsi trans-party? Biological males are breaking the skulls of female MMA fighters in the name of transgender equality. Standing up for the rights of women in competitive sports isn’t just about fairness, it’s about safety. pic.twitter.com/yOYRGV0wWF— Tulsi Gabbard 🌺 (@TulsiGabbard) August 14, 2022
"That there's a billionaire under attack and he NEEDS MY MONEY! Where's the checkbook? Might as well make one out for Joel Osteen while I'm at it"
I am glad I watched the video and did not just read the silly headline. For non-MMA fans, Carla "cookie monster" Esparza is a good UFC fighter and current (2 time) Strawweight champion. It is one of the few times someone directly affected by these decisions has spoken about clearly. She balanced inclusion with safety. While I still disagree and discrimination against trans athletes is discrimination, she provided her points in a level-headed and logical manner.
So who are the trans women who are breaking the skulls of female MMA fighters, and how recently did this occur? And when was the last time a female MMA fighter got her skull broken by a non-trans female MMA fighter?
Good questions and I will take a couple of minutes to answer them. As for the second question, that happens in MMA. Broken skulls are an unfortunate, but fortunately rare, occurrence. The incidents of severe head injury in MMA are much lower than boxing. Still too common, though. As for the first, Fallon Fox came out as trans in 2013 (post operative transexual who had completed years of hormone therapy). The incident (the broken orbital bone and concussion), happened in 2014 against Tamicka Brent's. It was also Fox's last professional MMA fight. Fox completed in lower leagues of MMA for about 2 years almost a decade ago. This is not a new story. The "controversy" apparently is that she was interviewed by the BBC last month and that was picked up by certain internet media, ending up with Tulsi G. interviewing Carla Esparza with NO mention that the incident occurred 8 years ago in a minor, minor league in MMA*. Even Brent said she did not know if the injury had anything to do with Fox being trans, just that Fox was extraordinarily strong. But there are plenty of women MMA fighters who extremely strong. It was nasty, but does not compare it to what Michael Venom Page did to Evangelista Santos, when an MVP flying knee caved in part of Santos' skull in 2016 in a Bellator fight. The worst head injury I have seen in MMA. Fortunately, Santos recovered quickly. MMA can be a brutal sport. Fortunately, those severe injuries are relatively rare, especially at the higher leagues (UFC, PFA, Bellator, Invicta), but they do happen. Finally, anyone who has watched "Cyborg" Justina (Santos' ex-wife) or the greatest woman's MMA fighter of all time, Amanda Nunes, will see those two women fighters with outrageous physical advantages over their competitors. For Santos, the allegations are steroids and other performance enhancing substances. For Nunes, she is genetically gifted, talented and amazingly skilled. But the physical advantages each has over her opponents (and, by the way, Nunes demolished Santos when they clashed a couple of years ago) is greater than what most "trans" athletes would have. *Like low level boxing, minor league MMA is a terrible "sport" where regulations, oversight and medical attention are lacking and severe injuries occur way too frequently. I won't watch it at all.
So when Fox News brings this up in prime time in the year 2022, when the last time a trans woman competed in MMA was 2014, do you think they might have an agenda? And if safety is an issue in MMA, a sport where people beat each other in the face repeatedly, that's like NASCAR being concerned about greenhouse gas emissions. It's inherent to the sport. To summarize, these aren't trans issues, but they're being used by Fox News to foster discrimination against trans people. You don't need to help spread their discriminatory message. If Fox News ever makes a good point, it's going to be in a "broken clock is right twice per day" kind of thing.
It has never been about women and always about discrimination against LGBT+ people, in particular transgender and intersex individuals in this case. I couldn't help but notice the silence from the usual anti-trans people here when Barbara Banda, the Zambia woman's soccer captain, was banned from playing in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Barbara is a biological female who is apparently not female-y enough, despite taking medication to lower her natural testosterone levels for no other reason than the rules dictate this biological female has an unfair advantage when compared to biological females! For ********'s sake, people need to stop giving airtime to idiots who think biological sex and gender are binary. Biological females are being banned from competing in women's sports because they "aren't female enough". But at least the important thing is people can continue the anti-trans hate. And to cut off the discussion, because every time someone brings up trans people it spirals into pure bigotry, it is impossible to take a continuum and divide it into valid and meaningful discrete categories that are "fair" to everyone. It simply cannot be done.
A fox pundit a short while ago claimed that all trump had to do was to wave his hand over a stack of of classified documents and declare them unclassified. So, no problem. Russia expert tells Fox News: Mar-a-Lago is a 'counterintelligence nightmare' "Did former President Trump try to sell, share the highly classified material to the Russians or to the Saudis or others?" Fox News host Eric Shawn asked. "Or were the documents innocently mishandled and stored because he thought he had a legal right to have them?"
By now I think it is safe to say that if you get to the point where the question is being asked about Trump's conduct, the answer will always be in the affirmative.
The Nixon gambit: Fox host defends Trump’s handling of top secret documents: “President Nixon said, that if the president does it, that it is not illegal. Is that not truly the standard when it comes to classified documents?” https://t.co/xGTOhrP52O pic.twitter.com/ZXorS95AV4— Media Matters (@mmfa) August 14, 2022

They got away with covering up Hillary’s mistakes regarding Benghazi. There’s a conspiracy theory that she ordered a security team that was going to stage a rescue to stand down.
