I think a lot is riding on what happens once his loan is done. If he stays he'll keep fighting and improving, but if he gets shipped back to Santos I think it will completely stall his career.

I think both have done what they need to do to get where they are. Chaquito made his moves after grinding it out and learning. He now has a fantastic opportunity with RVP. Munoz started taking his chances and forced the loan.

Long term, I think Gimenez will be better for the NT, but welcome both as they offer different strengths.

I have no doubt someone will be interested in Montes with a good performance by him in Qatar..

 

The problem with Montes is cost.

 

Yea well he'll have to want it like Tecatito did back in the day...He can make it in La Liga in my opinion..He performs well against quality opposition in the international stage and we know our guys typically improve in Europe..

Personally Antuna, Charly and Gallardo are not WCNT level. The fact Flores is at a 2nd division team is going to make it hard to justify calling him up in favor over Antuna and Charly. To the naked eye, IMO he's already levels above them, just doesn't have the PT

 

I'm not sure Moreno is either. Way too over the hill.

 

Iunno, Flores hasn’t exactly been breezing at Oviedo. And that’s against 2nd division players - this would be against the best in the world.

The kid is good but he needs to keep developing. Don’t think this is the WC for him.

Diego Lainez: Aún no es titular en Portugal pero ha empezado bien la liga. En los dos partidos que ha jugado se ha visto atrevido, bien físicamente y en buen nivel en general. El domingo dio su primera asistencia de la temporada.

Marcelo Flores: Jugó su primer partido como titular en el fútbol profesional y no perdió nada de su atrevimiento. Es el jugador más talentoso del Oviedo con diferencia, aunque aún le falta físicamente. Con el paso de los partidos marcará diferencias en el equipo y la liga.

if people listened to a portion of the Mexican fan base, especially the YouTube channels, you’d be convinced that Marcelo was the key player that needed to go the WC. Forget Tecate and Vega and shoot why not even Chucky, that Marcelo not being called up was the absolute worse mistake from the FMF. Mob mentality

What do you mean, why can’t you compare? If anything youre making my argument for me. Those two had higher ceilings than Marcelo, were more accomplished and they struggled with the nt at first.
