According to Elmer Polanco , América sought out Wanchope Ábila del Boca Juniors, offering him a juicy salary, which, however, the player did not accept, so they had to go to the MLS where they had contact with Jozy Altidore , striker of the United States team that comes from being champion with Toronto .

His old thread was locked, hence this one.

This would be a good move, imo....

Would like to see Jozy get out of MLS and test himself.

I, for one, am very excited at the chance to be able to rehash Jozy career here on Yanks Abroad, where I don't think it was every fully examined in deep enough detail.

    And to start the discussion...

    You are welcome.

I think I remember seeing an interview with him many ages ago at Villarreal where he was quite adept at the language.

It'd be hilarious if a washed up Jozy went on a goalscoring run. He shouldn't go to Qatar but I def hope he ends his career on a high!

Fouled the crap out of him, but he was too strong. It finished 3-3. Puebla currently sits in 6th place, one point behind Necaxa. I would expect them to move up a place soon as the next game they host Necaxa on Tuesday.

I don't think it's been covered but are Puebla or is it New England Revs shouldering the blunt of his wages?
