No, it clearly could not be the case. He's almost 20. He was also an early bloomer. Unless he has some genetic disease, he's no longer growing.
I just have a bad feeling about Gio's injury history and recovery time. He suffered a "muscle injury" in the beginning of April. Like 2 mins into a match. After dealing with a "muscle injury" since winter. And that was after being out about 5 months after pulling his hammy last Sept with the NT. Your typical muscle injury doesn't take this long to recover from.
So you are his doctor and know that in fact he is done growing? We can get into talking about details of statistical distributions and the like. Fact is we don't know .. as I said - "I wonder" ... and yes BVB has had a history of being less than forthcoming about the medical status of some of their players.

you are not a doctor, yet you speculate that he might still be growing, which would suggest you feel you have some baseline knowledge of human anatomy. You don’t have to be a doctor to understand basic human anatomy issues. Boys do not keep growing late into their 19th year absent genetic abromalities. That’s especially true for early bloomers who experienced growth spurts 14-16 like gio.
Scientifically he is definitely no longer growing? The majority of the time people tout science, they don’t know much about the science. What references do you have that state he is definitely no longer growing? And what is your definition of growing?
What references do you have that there’s a reasonable chance he could still be growing? I see none cited. I’m not going to dig around the internet for it. But the vast vast majority of boys stop growing by 18. It is earlier for early bloomers who go through puberty as growth plates close at the end of puberty. Gio went through puberty many years ago, so it is essentially certain his growth plates have closed.
I didn’t stop growing until I was 21…my father was the same. I don’t think you can say with any level of certainty that Reyna has or hasn’t stopped growing.
Dortmund needs to understand that when I rearrange my work schedule so I’m in my home office with my schedule blocked for their matches…I expect Reyna to be playing. At a minimum on the roster. This is all about me. Such an inconsiderate club.
BvB must have signed Anthony Modesto this week. Not bad coverage for Haller while he’s out. If Modeste is motivated and not moody, he can pout away goals even at 33 or 34 years old.
The absence stings a little today, but is not a big surprise considering what we have heard from his camp about taking things slow. Think about it, if he does come out and get injured this game - that could very well be it for him at Dortmund. So I would rather they take the slow approach and regain his full fitness and confidence. I am still optimistic he could make the WC squad; but if he is not starting matches and/or playing significant minutes 4-6 weeks from now, then I will be a bit more concerned about his chances of Qatar, and in the future. To this day, the story of John O' Brien still has a us holding our breath and hoping for health when the talented ones struggle with injury....
extremely extremely rare. When did you go through puberty/have a growth spurt? As noted, growth plates fuse when puberty ends.
Dortmund should be fun to watch again this year. Still need to tighten up their defense. Down one at half but they had some chances. Ruess with some moments of class. Malin and especially Hazzard were pretty quiet.
For Gio who went through puberty early, definitely accurate! The main point is that the odds that gio is still growing are so scientifically tiny that it’s not worth mentioning.
BVB are dog doo doo. Yikes. They need Gio back in the worst way, had to have taken some guts not to bring him back today.
