It's not like he's writing it. Someone else is, and you can bet the fact-checking is left to his dad. Probably his entire involvement with the project is posing for the cover photo.
I didn't think he wrote it. It's the "look how great I am" appearance that I think is bad. He's only 23, barely out of diapers. He's got 10+ years left in his career. He's not even halfway. He hasn't even played in a World Cup. He's not a consistent starter at his club. Too soon.
Well, I mean, it's not a sure thing he'll be starting for a top team in a year, so you gotta strike the iron when it's hot. Cheer up, it could be worse. It could be a Netflix series.
The guy took tremendous talent on a team with a stacked roster and got it done. He is not a genius, he goes to teams that have talent. If he went to the dumpster fire that is ManU and turned it around that would be something.
Again, he achieved success at clubs that were already successful. He is an overhyped snake oil salesman.
So, hear me out on this. And give me some rope because I'm trying to make a really unexpected, profound point: Maybe the book isn't about declaring himself great, trying to hog the spotlight, or define his still unresolved legacy ... ... but is instead about money. Shocking, I know, for a professional athlete. I'll even take it a step further: It wasn't even Pulisic's idea, just an opportunistic publisher who saw a chance to make a buck with the most famous USMNT player ahead of the World Cup. And Pulisic, realizing he gets a decent payday for effectively no work, jumps at the offering. I know, I know. I'll retreat back to mom's basement. Puli's just telling his critics to STFU, the victors write history and they should stick to Twitter or, err, message boards

There are not a ton of managers that could manage PSG or see a CL title with this Chelsea squad. He's not Klopp, or Pep, or Ancelotti... but he's pretty solidly in the next tier. Everyone has their issues. You think it's easy seeing this Chelsea through this mess with their owner and players leaving, you're kidding yourself.
A different way to think about all this is: is CP in a better position than he was a year ago? I'd say yes.
yes and no …. he is healthier right now the US has qualified he is still getting playing time Boehly is the post Roman owner lead Tuchel has not covered himself in glory the team is unstable right now he still lives in London I think there are pros and cons here
Pulisic is writing a book because it’s a Wotld Cup year and that’s what you do to grow interest, bank accounts, and influence when you are a player in his position.
Word. And, if you think about, the kid does deserve to make some cash now to make up for all the endorsements he lost out on in 2018. He missed out on a ton of money back in 2018 by missing WC qualification, through no fault of his own, because he did not have the supporting cast with the USMNT and Bruce Arena (and JK) turned the USMNT into a circus.
Christian has always put the cause of American soccer above himself. He talks lovingly about the times he and his family gathered faithfully in the den to watch the USA games. He has always encouraged kids to be ambitious and get to Europe and compete with the best. If his book convinces one kid to put down the nachos and pick up a soccer ball with the dream of improving himself, it will have done its work. You can't help but admire what Christian Pulisic has done for us and his book is just one more chapter in a life full of success and adventure.
