i mean, selling an asset to your own shell company isn't introducing money into your system as much as it is recycling the current amount of money which i assume is the point of the league requiring them to raise cash. not to mention, they apparently inflated the amount for book purpose (same trick as that arthur melo sale/swap).
I wonder if they don't have enough levers to pull, so theres a chance theres a few players they can't register. Surely you NEED to make sure the players they paid a fee for get in the squad. Didn't this happen to them with Turan? And they couldn't play him til January of that season and they loaned him out to Turkey instead?
well, that's disappointing. not sure there's really any reason to play the season out anymore, really. Sadly - I know Twitter will be heartbroken - doesn’t look like Jizz Hornkamp is going to happen. #NFFC ownership has new targets/priorities and likely to be some big spending in next few weeks. Twelve in so far, seven out, and result last weekend showed squad still needs work 🌳— Daniel Taylor (@DTathletic) August 10, 2022
I feel like he could’ve exploded in the premier league causes a lot off sticky situations for defenders
It’s a shame because he’s a loyal player. You guys know once you get Jizz in your kit it’s impossible to get out.
This headline is glorious! https://www.espn.com/soccer/blog-th...outing-for-a-striker-after-arnautovic-setback
ESPN's footy analysis has always been such trash. You'd expect better based on the way they analyze/cover other sports but maybe there's still a lag time when it comes to non-American football.
To be fair their average reader likely turns to other sources for critical analyses, so they have a bit of a reason to lean toward the sensationalist. Which means we benefit by seeing headlines like that!
I think this was satirical? But idk, it took me a while to decide that. If serious people started linking my club to names like that I’d probably walk into the ocean
i mean, i have a tough time associating ESPN with any level of "critical analyses". the NBA section literally had a section rating players sneakers for a while (still may, no idea). plenty of "sports entertainment" coverage all around.
For those who don't want to read this awful article, some of the names listed of players Yanited could go for include: Balotelli, Andy Carroll, Sturridge (who couldn't stay injury free in Australia), Wilfried Bony, Adebayor (38 year old), Charlie Austin, Cisse and Nani. Yikes.
Are you sure this isn’t satire. Some of them were halfway decent in 2014, the year after Fergie retired, though still not good enough for United.
It's surely a joke. Carroll is a free agent having been cut by West Brom in the Championship and turned down for a trial by Club Bruges. He'll likely end up in the 3rd tier
man flopped at reading he could’ve been a good player but too much booze and bad injuries have left him a giant carcass on the pitch
Barca registered 4 new players (Raphinha, Lewa, Kessie & Christensen) plus the renewals of Dembele & Roberto. Kounde still not registered and they are currently trying to finalize Alonso from Chelsea.
heh. Barcelona have sold 24.5% of Barça Studios to Orpheus Media for €100m as they’re now set to activate the 4th lever. 🚨🔵🔴 #FCBThis is Barça plan to register the new signings and then proceed with other deal as Marcos Alonso, agreed with Chelsea/player one week ago. pic.twitter.com/dvyuIA51wk— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 12, 2022
