Going to Qatar 2022: tickets, accommodations, etc. (non-politics)

you have no idea where we've taken our newborns to and from this soccer journey. My son was 6 months in Germany 06... my 13 year old was 9 months in SA... choices ... choices ...

I did see a sponsored post on Twitter the other day, with Budweiser hashtags, alluding to some sort of announcement on 8/13.

Finally got Germany v Spain cat 2

 

Last two days were good. Got US v ENG yesterday (3xCat2) and POR-URG today (3xCat1)

 

I saw cat 4, was there cat 2/3?

 

Been on the website all day long, the moment I forgot to recheck it, drop happened lol

Nice, I tried to cart 2 and it said they were gone instantly. Figured it was still an issue with the website and people not able to cart, but I guess I was wrong.

 

They have had other problems over the years. Too many to list, actually. The worst for me was the second semifinal in Durban in 2010, with FIFA VIPs insisting on landing priority at the airport and causing many fans to miss all or part of that match due to massive flight delays.

 

Nice little drop. I got 5x cat 3 match 63 tickets. With that now we’ll go to 4 games in one week, matches 61-64!

 

It was in Spain at the 1982 World Cup. And it was insane. I was watching. The referee had gotten it right. Some of the Kuwait players said they had stopped during a France goal because they heard a whistle from the stands. The Sheikh came down out of the stands to talk to the referee. Total bullsh!t. France then considered walking off the pitch after the goal was disallowed. But they played on because they were winning easily anyway. It ended 4-1 for France.

I hope that we never see that happen again.

 

Qatar 2022 is being run by a rich dude that’s determined to get his way (just like Kuwait in 82) So we’ll see what FIFA allows, but hes gotten everything he wants so far .

 

Hopefully he really wants his latest PSG diamond to lift the cup.

It sure looks like FIFA are cancelling cat 4 tickets purchased by foreigners. How else do we explain only cat 4 being available for the semis and final on resale?

 

My cat 4 semis are still good. Perhaps qataríes don’t care and will be away(in another country) hoping this “thing” that has upended their lives ends rather quickly? So they can get back to their normal lives! ( I heard the same thing from my friends in Rio!; except they didn’t have the money to get away like Qataríes do)

 

Wondering if it was “canceling” or “force reselling” since obviously they are also charging 5% overhead?

 

Hmm… I think it’a time to declare my secret Qatar residency tonight
