Man City with Haaland is going to be a steam roller. I guess it is fine to think about “what if?” as far as Pulisic to Man City but Chelsea won’t participate in giving them any help.

Sterling is a really good player but not the type that elevates those around him. I guess we’ll see

Agreed. He is a converter, not a creator.

One of the Brit pundits writing today gave CP a 5 rating along with the comment that he actually did well considering nobody really played him the ball. Elsewhere, I read another telling comment to the effect that Chelsea does not know how how to get the ball productively from the back to the front. As I and others have repeatedly said about Chelsea, there is no individual tasked with managing that effort. As a consequence, the attack is just haphazard other than the predictable "run the ball down the flanks and hit a cross. Be sure to put it into the box."

Saves the best for last and is the only one he mentioned by his last name.

How long ago the Lampard era now seems.

How sad that I feel I could fix many of Chelsea’s woes in about 10’ - presuming the players would listen to me, despite my lack of coaching credentials.

It’s shocking how static Chelsea often seem, in a sport based on running and movement.

If I were Pulisic, I’d be inside my head, trying to get out - a lot. It’s still a ways off, but I hope the international break provides him with some welcome relief.

    Too much Sangria? Maybe.

Why can’t/didn’t Kovacic get a minute of playing time? Too likely to attempt something positive?

Sterling is going to get bored winning games 1-0.

With so many top attackers moving to Chelsea to lose value, at some point TT is going to face a revolt.

Nothing is over, until it's over :)

Alonso, Azpi, and Ziyech were supposed to leave months ago.

My guess is he already has. And I doubt Sterling signed a fat contract with a big London club because he believes the manager is going to get the best out of him.

There are some rumors on twitter that Pulisic has asked to leave Chelsea. Dunno how true that is.

Have you seen anything recently to that effect? I saw a single source on twitter (that was then quoted by many others) lump Pulisic in with several others who wanted out of Chelsea, but haven't seen anything from any other source or since then. I'd love for Pulisic to leave Chelsea for a mid-table PL team, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen this window.

Nothing concrete just dome Chelsea blogs saying he is one of the attackers frustrated and wants to leave. The most concrete thing I saw was when Chelsea went after Richarlison Everton asked for Pulisic to be included and Chelsea offered Ziyech.

That being said seems like CHO and Ziyech are as good as gone so it's unlikely he will leave unless he says he wants out.

Probably too late for that...I think it's probably best he stays for now since he'll get decent rotational playing time... and he could always revisit the idea of leaving during the January transfer window.

By than, who knows, maybe he plays so well that he locks in more playing time for himself or maybe Tuchel is fired and a new guys comes in with more impetus on scoring goals.

I can't believe neither Madrid nor Barca is asking about Pulisic.

Werner and Ziyech have both demanded out. From the rumors I've posted earlier seeing many seemed to think Puli would too.

    Anyways ...

I actually thought Puli looked fairly lively when coming in all things considered. But man is Tuechel boring to watch
