Great game. We had a whole back line out for this match, including our captain, and fell down a goal, in the first minute, on the road, and gave up an equalizer right before the half, and still found a way to win. Good to see the team standing up for each other and playing like they give a shit, too, and Ezra did a great job managing the bench all things considered. Two road wins in a row- holy hell.
Also, Shaq’s fitness is incredible. He’s been hurt this year, and was still out there tonight on a crappy pitch covering all kinds of ground and was able to put in an action-packed 90+ minutes, and probably could’ve finished if not for a wise time wasting sub by Ezra to get him off in extra time.
Where’s this so-called Optimism Thread I can go to and post renewed love for this team and their upcoming MLS Cup victory?
What a solid win.. When we can come from behind and win on the road, the team dynamic has changed. We are now in the playoffs and we need to stay there.
OK catching up. I was boating on Kentucky lake with friends and maintained my media bubble and even though someone ruined it by saying it was 2-1 I told them they were ruining my bubble and they shut up so I just watched the replay on Sunday night. Uh oh...Not good but good you caught it earlier than later. I have had many tick bites over the years but one in particular got me on a Friday on vacation up under my arm/bicep and a week later I was trying to get on the Metra train and could hardly do anything. I was absolutely EXHAUSTED! I got home and wife made me dinner and even though the plate was on my lap and I WAS hungry I didn't have the energy to eat. I laid down with a headache and put my hands behind my head and my wife saw the tell tale "bullseye" bruise and we knew what it was. I got on meds right away and have been fine since but they say it really never leaves you. I was yelling at the TV in the 75th minute to take Kacper out and put in Duran to kill the momentum Charlotte had but he pulled Shaq for Duran which was interesting and quite late. I feel like his sub choices and game management are getting someone better but often slow to arrive for me. Glad to see him scoring but I felt he was quite tired looking after the 75th and wanted Duran in. Did not see Duran until the 87th minute. He is the heir to Kelwyn Rowe's vagina. (No offense to vaginas or vagina holders) Summary: A great win for Chicago Fire in the absence of Captain Czichos and a normal starting center back duo. I enjoyed it immensely!
Suprised to hear you guys say this. For me, it's one of the more reliable services I use. It could be whatever streaming device/app/videogame console you're trying to play it through...
ESPN+ is as good as it gets for me, but I'll miss the ability to channel surf on cable without waiting for the streaming buffer to catch up.
The newest AppleTV 4K but the app is very good at kicking me out and having me prove I’m me. I’ve never shared the credentials and only use it in one spot. The other issue is that if there’s a local broadcast they still show the game as available but it’s not. And they never say it’s unavailable. Of course it stutters now and again but that’s attributable to too many different issues to solely blame the app.
A weird workaround for this on my Apple TV is if you have the Hulu / ESPN+ / Disney+ package, you can watch the Fire live via the Hulu app. I have an antenna, so I normally just use that, but every once in a while I'll want to watch on the Apple TV so I can flip over to something else rather than watch us choke away a lead in the last 10 minutes, so that's been helpful. Also lets me watch the replays whenever I want- for some stupid, ********ass reason, even after the blackout period is over if I try to watch on ESPN+ it doesn't let me - just tells me that in order to watch it I need to subscribe to ESPN+, which is dumb because I damn already do and they know this.
Exactly this type of shit that makes ESPN+ only worth it because it’s relatively cheap. EDIT: I don’t have Hulu or Disney+.
Unfortunately, Hulu+ Live TV is the best way I can watch the White Sox suck out loud without cable. So I spend nearly as damn much as cable for that, which at least comes with ESPN/Disney+. 'A fool and his money are soon parted' is pretty much my life damn story so far.
