They are built to play that style but you still think they would score more sway goals , perhaps they have had a lot of home games , idk
I kept my eyes open for you, but missed you. Maybe next match. Good to see, as always, the esteemed @LaMacchia on the way out.
It was the best we played and the worst we played all in 90+ minutes of action. Next time though I'll bring my friends to a game that's not in the middle of a heat wave.
That was a great gut-check win. Deflating to give up the early goal in the deflection that perfectly loops over Room. But we claw back to take the lead. And they score again on a more egregious deflection from a shot that was not dangerous at all. Super deflating. But we bucked the eff up, again, and won 3-2. Best win of the year.
Our son and I spent a very humid and frustrating evening watching the Indy 11 lose to the black and gold team from Pittsburgh tonight. Getting home and watching the replay from LDC, I was worried that we'd see a dumpster fire hangover after the Wednesday $hit show. But after the opening own goal I actually told Ronan that the boys would crush the NYC scoreless streak, and I'm glad to have been right about that. There are still some very frustrating things about this team. But even when they manage to piss all over themselves the games are exciting. And I think that the questions about starting wingers have been answered definitively, and that's a good thing. One thing I got completely wrong was my prediction that Morris would be even more effective off the bench, playing in a 25 minute stretch during which he could unleash everything, much less worried about fouls and cards and such. I hope that he can develop into a closer like that, because Artur belongs in the starting 11 when he is healthy enough to be there. This felt like a pretty important win for this team. Especially after the last effort.
Wow, watching the highlights and Sika opened by stating NYCFC hadn't allowed a goal in 368 minutes coming into last night.
Not saying there are not good teams left on the schedule, and there will be bumps in the road. But there are remarkably few (if any) games left where our opponents are clearly ahead of us in the table. at Colorado Atlanta at Cincy Miami (midweek) Chicago at Montreal (toughest game left) at Miami Portland NYRB at Charlotte (midweek makeup) at Orlando
Didnt get to watch the game because its my daughters birthday weekend and im trying to make everything about her for these few days, which means me not spending hours watching soccer. Just watched the highlights. Sounds like a very needed win though. Happy for Diaz. If he can become a reliable assist man and grab a couple goals here and there, that would at least help make the case for his continued presence in the starting 11 and roster in general. Cucho + Lucas is everything we couldve hoped for.
That's a disappointing number, but given that it's the last weekend of the fair, Dublin Irish Fest, Peletonia, and the questionable weather I'm sure walk-up sales suffered. Oh well, still better than it would have been at the fairgrounds.
Best game Diaz has ever played in a Crew uniform. If he continues to offer even 50% of that type of effort on a consistent basis, the Crew become a much more formidable team. The thing that impresses me most about Cucho is not his scoring prowess but the fact he's the hardest end-to-end worker on the team. Rare to see that from a striker as gifted as he is. The spine through the middle of the field sans Lucas and Cucho is really hard to watch. Games like last night are what make me wonder if Nagbe's handful of moments of brilliance each year are worth the other 85% of his minutes being lazy and passive play. Aiden had his worst game in a long time. Artur and Mensah don't make many egregious mistakes but also aren't difference-makers anymore. Degenek isn't the answer to replace Josh at CB either. The ray of hope is that we have some Crew 2 guys who look like they can grow into assuming these roles or at least being reliable subs/rotation players, but a lot of turnover and new younger signings are in order during the offseason window.
What is your price range and what style of music is he into? Look into Eart. Phillip McKnight has some great videos on those. He reviewed their Tele and LP style guitars. Probably the best bang for your buck in the sub $500 range.
There are a lot of great guitars on the used market in the $200 range. Also the Jackson JS22 is a fantastic guitar under $200.
Some day you should do a Star Trek theme. My brother and I did that when we were kids. We tried to use Silly Putty to make the Vulcan ears for him (this was during the NBC years).
Very cool. One year when our parents told us that they did not have money for Halloween costumes, Geeg and I created our own Star Trek costumes. Unfortunately, they were not Pinterest-worthy.
That was why we did it--but that was well before pinterest, We made our own badges though (did not find out until later that you could get them through Lincoln Enterprises (Roddenberry's store)).
