Been saying for years that libertarians are morally bankrupt. The history of civil rights is intertwined with the history of a large, powerful central government. That's what triggers libertarians, and makes conservatives pine for small government. LIbertarians will say that whatever government giveth, can be taken away, as a reference to America's endorsement of Trump. The response to that it that it's better for me to have had a reasonably free childhood than have gone into middle age without ever having experienced what America calls itself standing for. We know now that there's never been anything to happen here worth boasting globally about.

She was. I don't get everything right, not by a long shot, but I smelled rats with Yang and Tulsi early on. "Independents" who cut special rules* for authoritarians aren't Democrats, aren't Republicans, and aren't even Libertarians. They're just trash. (I don't have the same problem with Bloomberg, you can dislike his politics but he doesn't belong in that category.) * Unless Tulsi and Yang are against all FBI raids, for any reason, against any American citizen, they are applying special rules. And if they truly are against all FBI raids, for any reason, then I take back that bit about the special rules, and substitute instead "totally nuts." Because if the FBI gets good information about the next Tim McVeigh, it damn well had better be raiding.
