Before anyone panics, this is false. Gasperini is still the coach at Atalanta.

Paper talk on Muriel and Zapata but no firm offers for either and they just loaned Cisse (the young bull they promoted from reserves when Duvan got hurt next year) and Lammers, so they aren't behaving like a team that's about to sell both.

 

I hope Duvan will improve this year, he didn't have the best form last year, not with Atalanta and not with Colombia. He has so much potential, and it's a shame to lose it. He doesn't have too many years to play at the highest levels

 

For Colombia, agree. His form for Atalanta last year was brilliant, Pibe! He carried that team. They fell out of Europe contention when he got hurt and missed a ton of time, then he rushed back too soon because his injury happened too late for Gasperini to get in another striker...

 

I don't know, maybe I used to see more of him in the past two seasons before when he was unstoppable. But I guess you are right the injury did hold him back. Hopefully he'll continue to be one of the best strikers in the Serie A
